It is indeed a scene by scene recreation. I just found laughable one PC article that was praising Disney's decision of diversity in the new cast. I was like, WTF? Didn't that idiot writer knows that the voice actors of the original film was very diverse? It had James Earl Jones, Whoppie Goldberg, Madge Sinclair,Niketa Calami Harris, (and quite a few other Black actors)Cheech Marin representing Latinos, gays Nathan Lane & Elton John, British actors Jeremy Irons & Rowan Atkinson, oh yeah and American actor Mathew Broderick. Danny Glover better not make Simba into a fucking gay lion or a Black lives Matter activist...

I never could stomach The Aristocats and I love cats.

 

Great cartoon.
When Disney was good.

 

From that era I like 'Lady & the Tramp' which was just okay. Didn't care for the Aristocats or 101 Dalmatians.
