    Excellent movie.

But....do you remember this from 1976?

No I never saw that and being born in 1978 into a household that had a TV on what might be described as a very very desultory basis I was very unlikely to ever see it.

I know that Brian Blessed thought Dino DiLaurentis was a gigantic pain in the balls.

Grease was the highest grossing film of that year, followed by Superman. The Deer Hunter was probably the best movie of the year.

You ignoramus maximus! Halloween, Superman: The Movie, Midnight Express, The Deer Hunter, Grease, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Animal House, The Boys from Brazil, Watership Down, The Driver, Heaven Can Wait, Up in Smoke....just to name a few. 1978 gave us more movie classics than what we got in this whole decade!

Not all of those are 'classics'.
    They're 'good' though...

They had to squeeze it in somwhere. Between 1977 and 1979 seemed like a good idea at the time.

Elvia died in ‘77, could Irish be his reincarnation? Whenever Liverpool play, he’s all shook up, like.
