Schwarzeneger plays the role of the human who was used by SkyNet as the basis for the T-800 Terminator.

Little Zane trivia: he was once considered to play the Silver Surfer in a doomed film project back in 1980. Never happened as they realized the technology wasn't there yet to make a believable Rider of the Cosmic Waves plus the studio didn't want to shed a Superman: The Movie budget on an unknown comicbook character with an unproven non-actor in the lead. This was Lee Kramer's, the executive producer of "Xanadu", pet project.
"We're going to make an epic picture on the scope of 2001: A Space Odyssey with the kind of soundtrack that that film had, only using contemporary rock and roll," Kramer said at the time. "It's even conceivable that the Surfer might have a chant or a fanfare made up of one thousand electric guitar. Doing the Silver Surfer has always been a dream of mine, and now it's going to be realized."

'Xanadu' box office bombing sealed the fate of this project.

Well I got to admit this new trailer looks better than the prior one.

 

Actually looks decent, but nothing will ever come close to the first two films so what's the point?

 

1984 Terminator is the only Terminator that matters

 

No, Judgement Day was great. But it should have ended at Judgement Day. Every film since has been a shameless money grab.

The 84 version remains the best, though. Not only of the franchise, it remains of the best sci-fi films of all time.

The Terminator franchise is exactly the same as the Alien franchise.

In both cases, the first was a masterpiece, the sequels were great action flicks, and every film after should be discounted.

 

Judgement Day was stupid ... a Terminator you can only kill by submerging it in 3000 degrees molten lead... pointless and stupid and the character looked absurd throwing Schwarzenegger around... plus annoying Faggot Furlong and cheesy comedy ("Bad To The Bone" in the beginning) ... FUCKING CORNY

 

T2 was certainly more of an artistic compromise - right from the moment in preproduction where they decided to recast arnie which basically makes no sense - but its still an ATG fun-popcorn movie.
