I feel exactly the same and think people are underrating Ruiz's performance a bit, with all these bullshit excuses, just blaming it on AJ being chinny, and the general shock of AJ losing to this little fatty.

Ruiz was the more skilled operator, plain and simple. AJ has no IQ, he's literally like a boxing robot. Ruiz was thinking about what he was doing, picking his spots, parrying and countering well.

And yeah I said the same thing on another thread, I see no reason not to pick Ruiz in the rematch. He simply looked like the better fighter.

See I'd have him doing the opposite. He is way too tense and upright, and he gassed and fought his own self out after 3 rounds. He needs to have someone show him how to relax in there, ala Roberto Duran and Carlos Monzon. Ruiz has a very good basic defense and his high hands are going to block most of those jabs and he catches quite well also. Getting your ass whipped away and then coming into your own home to try and win it back in front of a hundred thosuand people -- well, that will make the first fight look like nothing.

Joshua needs to learn to get small and get tall. He didn’t know how or when to get down to Ruiz level so he spent most of the fight backing up scared to reach with his punches for fear of getting countered.

If he knew how to crouch and smother Ruiz when he came in close it would create more opportunities to step out, straighten up and put Ruiz at mid range where he’s dead meat.

It's instructive to watch the highlights of Ruiz vs Parker - when I watched the whole fight I scored it a draw, but more importantly look at Ruiz in the exchanges - never stops coming forward, happily goes to war with Parker and wins a lot of the firefights, crafty defense and counters, concrete chin, and great stamina to go 12. Parker was on the back foot most of the fight.

It was arrogant of AJ's team to think that Ruiz would be some walkover, and arrogant of AJ to believe that Ruiz was ready to go after that knockdown.

I haven't even seen that fight. What kind of work did Parker do, to win 6 rounds at least?

And somehow AJ manages to be such an inept and fragile robot that he made this obese fella look like a young Duran.

I understand it, honest I do............a man can be fit and fat.

I carry extra weight and I KNOW it impedes me.

You can have a strong heart, good lungs, and very good aerobic fitness.....but you SIMPLY CANNOT MOVE the same way as if you were't carrying the extra timber.

That's why it's called "out of shape". If you dint a wheel and it's a bit out of shape, it doesn't move the same way, it doesn't move efficiently.

Put 40lbs in rucksack, put it on your back....run 100 yards, take it off......run again....HUGE difference.

Forget the whole fight, just watch the highlights. Parker was counterpunching, and landing. But Ruiz was in every exchange, and having lots of success and backing Parker up. Ruiz is tough as old boots, classic fat Mexican.

I think Ruiz has some ability but I don’t see this as a fight AJ couldn’t turn around with a different trainer and a different strategy. Ruiz is not unbeatable and he was dropped once and hurt a couple of times in the fight. He too is vulnerable and could very well lose to whomever he fights next.

Many of Parker’s Rounds were LESSER of 2 Evils Type of Rounds...

As Punk Stated, Parker was on his Backfoot the VAST Majority of the Time. As Impressive as Ruiz’s Handspeed Is, the Rapidity of his Footwork Doesn’t Match.

So Basically, Parker Moved the Entire Time, Flicking an Ineffective Jab.

If the Bout Had Been Anywhere BUT New Zealand, Ruiz Gets a Draw and Possibly a W.

REED Won’t Call it a “Robbery” Because Ruiz Didn’t SEIZE the Moment the Way a Fighter Should On His Opponents Home Turf.

Ruiz feet are slow because he's too heavy. This is where weight really hurts. Weight can kill a steam engine, never mind a human body.

He's got small calf muscles and a fat upper body. He's going to be right there for anybody who wants to crack him.

I mean, does he even do situps?

Did you see his fight with Whyte? Utter hesitancy-fest. And yet he nearly won once he decided to start fighting.

I'll take Joshua in the rematch. I'll bet up to $200 total. Prefer to bet against as many of you dumbasses as possible so just indicate you're in and we'll divide my $200 up accordingly.

Do you plan on reneging if Joshua loses on some ridiculous technicality like getting concussed in a boxing match as a result of being punched?

The only reason Joshua lost is that he got concussed. If in the rematch, he manages not to be concussed, then he could win.

Exactly. It was a freak injury that usually never happens when people get hit in the head incredibly hard

"He lost because he was concussed" is the new "He lost because of the spongey ring". Except even worse.

Herol Graham only lost to Julian Jackson because he was concussed, if it wasn't for that he would have won!

Since you are the resident expert when it comes to classifications, would you consider a concussion to be an injury of the minor variety similar to a fractured orbital bone?

AJ’s freestyle was as stiff, labored and premeditated as his boxing style.
