Why would Fury risk being robbed again for $US3-5m? (or whatever he got vs Wilder) when he signs a deal for $US105m for 5 fights?

Neither Fury or Wilder 'owe' anyone a rematch.
Certainly not 'the fans'...and I've no idea where this came from or started in boxing.

Yeah I never ever felt that Fury or Wilder was fucking anyone over here. There won't be an immediate rematch, Joshua is about to enter the US scene, there's really no cause for panic here.

IF he was worried about being hurt, he wouldn't have taken on an undefeated power puncher only 3 fights in to a comeback after a 3 year layoff where his weight ballooned to 300lbs and he was on more drugs than a cancer patient.

Fury was hurt TWICE the entire night.

 

Never rematched Cunningham either.

It made zero sense for fury to fight wilder again next. The Joshua fury fight is the most lucrative that can be made in boxing and was the most logical one to make. Instead it seems fury has received a good deal from espn if it is true that hes getting 9 figures over 5 fights. How much was he even being offered for a wilder rematch?

 

It sucks for the fans no doubt, not having an immediate Wilder rematch. But from Fury's point of view I can understand the logic.

It's not like he officially lost to Wilder, on paper he got a draw, and the overwhelming majority of the public and the boxing world thinks that he won. And now he's offered over 100 million for five fights! That's over 20 million a fight and they won't all have to be against world-beaters either. He would have been crazy to pass up an offer for that sort of money just to get an immediate Re. with a guy virtually everyone thinks he beat in the first place.

 

If Fury fought again and lost and lost legitimately or illegitimately.....................he probably would have been frozen out of the picture for the next few years.

He's got the momentum of the Wilder fight and the belief that he was robbed. He can parlay that into many $$$ and still stay on the verge of a title shot.

 

I can't blame Fury if he indeed get that much more money by not fighting Wilder. It sucks for us, but it' s the name of the game. And Fury has shown through his carreer that he like challenging himself, so I doubt he goes the calzaghe route

To be honest, I don't know how the fight will go down, maybe Wilder makes the adjustments, makes the breakthrough earlier in a round or earlier in the fight.

I just know Fury isn't scared of him.

Fury didn't leap into a rematch, he did smart business, got himself those megabucks, and got the rematch then.

Good business.....none of this John Conteh shit.

Of course it’s hard to fight a perfect 12 rounds with Wilder and Fury better not fuck around next time.

But now that he’s more popular, reputation has grown, and 90 percent of the boxing world feeling he was robbed, it’s actually Wilder who won’t be able to win a decision next time.

 

Fury will win in what will be one of the most embarrassing, one-sided shut-outs evah.

I like Fury. I also like that fought Wilder and is fighting him again promptly. But, I don't see how one could support him with any enthusiasm. He doesn't have very good power, his chin is questionable, and his mental toughness is schizo.

 

This makes no sense whatsoever.

 

The first guy to drop him was a guy called Neven Pajkic.

In fairness, the two times he has been dropped, he got hit by absolutely perfect right handers which he invited by clowning and tom foolery.

He was hurt by both.

His heart and skills are world class, his power is average and his chin is average-good.

 

I see Wilder going for Fury right from the off and trying to take him out in emphatic style. If he catches Fury, he'll get the job done, if he doesn't, Wilder gasses and Fury stops him within 6.

 

I honestly don't know how it will go. Spindly Wilder doesn't strike me as the type of guy who gasses. Fury has got to fight as cautiously as he can.

 

Yeah I don’t think Wilder will gas. And he’ll aways remain dangerous and capable of scoring a KO anytime you slip up.

I think Fury wins a decision with a scary moment or two in a rematch. As dangerous as Wilder is, he can only win the fight one way. He can’t win rounds against Fury. He has to sell out. And in doing so, he himself could get hurt via counter he doesn’t see.

 

I never felt he sold out when he got the two knockdowns. He seemed to sell out AFTER the knockdown in the 12th, that's when he got hurt.

His problem is that Fury can "touch him" often.....Wilder is used to having the reach.

 

The guy is going to lose sooner than later. He's a pure nut case and will self-destruct, either by quitting in the ring or not training hard enough or he's just get smashed by Wilder or Joshua and that will be that. He's not the type of fighter to recover well from a loss, either.

If he proves me wrong, good for him. As I said, I like him well enough.

 

Funny but EVERYBODY unless they avoid all the big fights at the right times loses sooner rather than later.
