The two year layoff for sure probably deteriorated him, along with the surgeries. He took a good amount of punishment against Porter and Lopez as well, and beatings like that take years off careers.

I think the fire is gone.

If Thurman continues, he's gonna get upset by an average fighter.

He already went life and death with a bum like Lopez. The ass whuppin Pac just gave him will take even more outta him.

I still say he's gonna retire.

Broner says that Thurman was out gambling with him at 3am the night before the weigh-in AND the night before that.

I know AB can be full of shit, but I fully believe him.

So what? Unless hes been drinking, its completely inconsequential. Its not like he has to wake up early for his job

If Thurman wasn't so sleepy, then maybe he would have gotten Pacquiao out in the first round

Thurman lost because of the totally arbitrary rotation of the planets and the spurious white-male, patriarchal doctrine of Time.

I missed this one badly. I saw Horn do okay against Pac and figured any version of Thurman would do so much better than that he'd get an easy win.

Does anyone know if there was VADA testing or any other PED testing for this fight?

I frankly don't care anymore if fighters use PEDs or not, since it is impossible to tell for sure anyway, but I must say Manny looked suspiciously good here

Manny did fade late, though. Probably his age catching up. PEDs can’t totally stop Father Time either.

    Pac should retire off this.

I will say, that of the two, Spence and Crawford, Manny stands a better chance of upsetting Crawford.

I think they both beat Pac. But Porter gets brutally stopped by PAC IMO

Porter would maul PAC to death. He’s a less scrubby version of Horn. What made Thurman such an attractive opponent was that he was never an inside fighter or pressure fighter at all. He’s almost purely a mobile pot shotter that’s lost a step.

You could see him overwhelming and beating PAC up in spots over and over but as soon as Pac did anything Thurman would back up and try to box him from distance, and get touched up.

Watching Thurman trying to walk pac down and catch his shots on his gloves like he’s Ike Quartey or something was hilarious.

Pacs footwork and counters would beat Porter IMO. Could be ricky hatton all over again.

    Porter blows.

Pac can beat every welter except for Spence and TC.

    lololololol

When all is said and done, Keith 'More like Uma, amIrite?' Thurman will just be remembered for not being able to beat an almost-shot, 40-year old midget.

    And having a shit hairstyle.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Pac beat up on Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter. Even at 40 years of age he’s still too fast and mobile for those two stiffs.

I think both Garcia's, Danny and Mikey, are nearing the end of the line. Not physically, I mean I don't think their hearts are in it anymore. They want one or two more paydays, and will pack it up.

Yeah, except Porter is a welterweight and it’s 2019.

PAC can still look good against a guy that relies on mobility and timing because he’s got an awkward rhythm but a strong welter that can stay on him will run him over.

Pacquiao handled porter for years, he will have a psychological edge . And he hasnt slipped THAT much since they were in the ring, nor has porter improved a great deal

Yeah Pac would simply be too fast and mobile on his feet. I could see Pac taking an easy fight early next year, then maybe making a fight with one of Porter or Danny Garcia.

Maybe the best move is to force both fighters to take PED’s. This way we don’t have to guess if they’re both fighting on equal footing.
