Disney Rebooting Home Alone, Night at the Museum, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid for Disney+

Probably the role of Kevin will go to a Hispanic Black girl with Asian parents who are vegan and are flying a Woman's March while the thieves would probably be two corrupt white cops.

 

Let's makes this Home Alone realistic. The robbers break into the house, but unbeknownst to them (and Kevin's family) Kevin, who's pissed that his family left him at home, purchased automatic weapons to kill his entire family when they get home. The robbers break in and Kevin lights them up within seconds, and subsequently goes through with his plan and slaughters his family upon their arrival home.

Kevin is arrested, and it makes national headlines, but Fox News blames the murders on Kevin not receiving enough attention at home and suspects he might have been influenced by Hip Hop. After a DVD of the movie Sicario is found in Kevin's room, Trump (who wouldn't even provide Kevin with directions when he was lost in NYC) blames it all on Mexicans.

You have to admire Hollywood’s penchant for making more expensive yet less successful versions of past films. It makes all the nonsense in the world.

The problem is whether it’s a reboot or original idea, Hollywood literally doesn’t know how to make good movies anymore. The best you can hope for is pretty-good which winds up as today’s Oscar winners.

 

You forgot Video games.....black music, Jewish Hollywood violence...Call of Duty, GTA, Madden fault....never mind that video games are played around the world, and this monthly massacre is only a United States phenomenon. Poor mental sickness. I hope Hector, Jamar, Ali get the same "mental sickness" benefit when they massacre 15-20 people in a concert, theather, walmart, etc...

 

No, lets make it REALLY realistic.

Kevin finds out he has been left behind and he runs to his neighbor's house crying 'where is mommy & daddy?' Neighbor's calls the Police and Social Services who will be trying to reach his parents to press charges for child negligence. Kevin is taken to a temporary Foster Home. Meanwhile, back at Kevin's house, two black crackheads break into and steal all they can and go directly to their hood's pawn shop and get a lot of cash for the stolen goods. The two robbers celebrate by buying more crack for themselves and their hoes.

I've seen far more Rican crackheads in my time than black crackheads.

 

it's for Disney +...so it's probably just about making whatever in order to ramp up content for subscribers....no need to bring their A game for that
these will still be better than most netflix movies i'm sure

To the contrary: I am against the whole idea of a remake. And when they do it, they will feel compelled to turn it into a PC crap to cater liberal agendas like Disney has been doing lately.

Who said childhood? am opposed to pointless remakes. Period. The original is still well known and available on DVD every where. No need to remake this film. When is a very old film that most people don't know and looks dated as hell, if it will be rebooted with care to create something memorable that will improve on the original, yeah, by all means, remake it (example: Cat People (1982) was an original retake on Val Lewton's 1942 classic which barely anyone knew about in the 80s; John Carpenter's 'The Thing" is now the version people like over the original Howard Hawks 1951 classic).
