    Grohl's a fantastic drummer and seems like a nice guy, I just can't enjoy him in any other capacity as a musician. It's generic bullshit. He's also EVERYWHERE these days presented as the authority on rock, which does my head in.

    I wouldn't call Kurt a bad guitarist, he was nothing special at all, but he was much more inventive than Grohl (not much of a yardstick, admittedly), and he at least did some interesting things occasionally, it usually sounded good. His forte was as a songwriter, and as McDogg has said previously he had a real ear for melody.

    Normally cunts like him are involved in the business/production side of things. He just happened to be a guy who was on stage rather than in an office.
