    2007 stands out.

No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Zodiac, Eastern Promises, Gone Baby Gone, Juno, The Assassination of Jesse James, and Michael Clayton all came out that year.

The first two are cinematic masterpieces, and the rest were very good/excellent.

    It does, but compare to:
    Being John Malkovich
    Magnolia
    Fight Club
    Election
    Rushmore
    The Matrix
    The Sixth Sense
    Three Kings
    Office Space
    The Insider
    Bringing Out the Dead
    Eyes Wide Shut
    Summer of Sam
Ghost Dog : The Way of the Samurai
    Man on the Moon
    The Talented Mr Ripley

The sheer amount of great movies in that year is really tough to beat.

Without comic book movies the last few years would have sucked twice as much as they presently do.

Although I never saw BJM, I’d add Fight Club and The Matrix to that list and from there agree that the remaining movies from that list that I have seen are just ok.

There's at least ten on that list that rate 7-8/10

I'd actually say that Three Kings is the best movie on that list.

From these years, I really liked:
    Gladiator
    American Psycho
    Meet The Parents
    Remember The Titans
    The Perfect Storm
    High Fidlelity
    Men Of Honor
    Boiler Room
    Mulholand Drive
    Oceans 11
    Training Day
    Blackhawk Down
    The Royal Tenembaums
    Blow
    Jeepers Creepers

But a lot of these are fun, entertainment pieces, I guess.

I think Traffic is the best movie made between 2000-2001.

    74 beats 77.

Chinatown, GF II, and The Conversation are all better than any films on that list.

I think Sorcerer is the best of 77, btw.

It's obviously Fight Club. Good shout on Sorcerer for 77, great movie. The Duelists is also an underrater film.

ROTFL 'Sorcerer' a remake of an old french film 'Wages of Fear' better than Star Wars? That film got mixed reviews and bombed at the box office too. Through the years it has harvested better reviews from people who never saw the original. But that is basically it. Good film, but not better than many others in my list.

It's not a remake, just based on the same novel. I'd say it's the best movie on your list, but it's all subjective of course.

Everything is subjective when it comes to art either it be movies, music or a painting. I still consider Picasso extremely overrated and his art pure shit while some people rated him above DaVinci, Michael Angelo, Rubens or Rembrandt.

We're grown now, Panch. Star Wars is fucking gay.
