Obviously, can't argue with the fact that reading music doesn't mean shit. I guess I just misjudged your musical snobbery - would've thought the ability to read music was important to your musical orthodoxy.

Also music for 40-something freaks who get kicked out of Cleveland metro department stores for arguing with mannequins

which we've established is a figment of your imagination

I don't think you'd come out looking more "open-minded" than me if somebody compared our record collections

Yeah. Heard the guy interviewed on Howard Stern. Seemed like nice guy. And he is successful. But I don't listen to them. Guy had a fcked up childhood apparently.

Kanye West. Constantly hear this guy is a genius, keep asking what makes him one, and nobody can answer sufficiently. And it's always like it's this really obvious, unquestionable thing, like "ok, he is a bit of an idiot, but there's no denying the man is a genius". Do not get it AT ALL. Nothing against hip hop, there are some excellent producers who do interesting things, and that's the point, he doesn't even do that. Like, he doesn't even use samples in an interesting way, he'll just add another drum pattern over it or keep the instrumental exactly the same, anybody can do that shit. I've listened to most of his albums too, I don't think it's right to criticise something you haven't heard, so I've given him a chance, just don't get it.

    You're not wrong at all.

He s as far from being shit as he is from being a genius.

I often listen to that smooth jazz Enter Sandman because it's actually a bit better than the original.
