Goddamn this forum doesn't pay attention to boxing anymore...

Any chance of old man Donaire pulling this out?

Given his power you can't count him out... but I'm not seeing it.

    Inoue in 5.

Inoue within 3 rounds... Donaire's got a wild card shot but really unlikely... I think Inoue gets him in too much trouble too quickly for it to matter

Inoue is fantastic, but he gets hit quite a bit and against Donaire that might be more of a problem than usually. Even do, safe pick says Inoue in six or even sooner

They could have warned the U.S. about 911 but held back because of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Inoue should be able to KO Donaire unless he's too big which would be his only shot

When somebody only has a puncher's chance it usually means they need a one shot miracle hail mary.

Donaire is basically done and Inoue is moving up and making waves. At a minimum I'm hopeful Nonito lands that big one just to see how he copes.

People giving Donaire no shot whatsoever has me a little worried. Inoue has looked like a beast but I still think he’s a bit unproven against top flight competition. Donaire may not be able to handle Inoue’s power but could he outbox him? I give Inoue the edge but wouldn’t be shocked at an upset.

Inoue is gonna blast Donaire, who really needs to retire.

    This is gonna be ugly.

But the guy made it to the finals in an all division tournament. Easy for you to say he should retire.

    I agree with Doub.

I don't know about "really needs to retire."

That's an exaggeration. Donaire is considerably past his prime, but it's not like he's the degree of shot that Holy and Roy were.

This would have been the best matchup in the sport if Donaire were in his prime. It might give us some indication of how that matchup would have looked.

If Donaire is very competitive, and gives Inoue a tough fight, it'll suggest that a prime Donaire might have won.

If Inoue just goes through him like a hot knife through better, then Inuoe was probably better than any version of Donaire.

Remember, Donaire has never been stopped by a man his size. Only by the MUCH bigger Nicholas Quitters.

The telecast starts at 5:15 am.

Not a problem from me - I work from home, and I'm up at 6 am each day anyway.

    I'll be tuned in!

I like Donaire but he lucked out in this tournament when Burnett done his back in during their fight and had to retire, and then when he faced a last-minute replacement after Tete injured his shoulder.

    I'm glad he lucked out.

Nobody gave a shit about seeing Inoue versus Burnett or Tete in the final.

None of these guys at 118 can challenge Inoue with their somewhat primitive skills.

They're just as good as dead.
