Strange and utterly random quote - even from you - but good to know I'm still in your thoughts, McJocko

Yeah, because it 100% applies to that utterly bizarre cult of faggots/nerds/women who are obsessed with Games Of Thrones

Never read the books or played the games but the premise always sounded interesting. Might pick up one of the novels and decide from there.

Critics are trashing it, but their main beef is that it is not like Game of Thrones, which is stupid as it is an entirely different kind of fantasy. Audiences are liking it.

I have watched the first two episodes and while it is not a great show, it got me hooked. Henry Cavill is playing Geralt as a sort of He-Man with No Name, but while Pedro Pascal's the Mandalorian does accomplishes this, Cavill comes out more like Kurt Russell's Snake Plissken than Clint Eastwood. Freya Allan has an interesting face with bewitching eyes. She is one of those actresses that are older than they look and can play a 14 year old.

I remember when I watched the first Game of Thrones episode and wasn't that impressed, but two things hooked me to watch the next episode: how come that pretty white haired girl didn't burned in boiling water and what will happen next to the thrown from the tower peeping Tom kid?

Watched the first two eps. It’s some of the worst television ever produced. Call me crazy but a show called The Witcher should probably have him be the main character.

They are building the three main characters separately first until they eventually meet, but I hear you: it is Netflix and WAHMEN need to be equally showcased...or more!

It makes perfect sense to establish 3 main characters separately before they meet. I don't know what you all are crying about.

You’re telling me you thought the first ep was good? The one that spent a nonsensical amount of time with an unimportant character sat on a couch for 20 mins while the titular character got about 10 mins of screen time?

This is Netflix, not HBO. GOT was lightning in a bottle to be honest, but went downhill once they ran out of original material from G.R.R. Martin. The Witcher is in a place between Badlands and GOT: it is not crap like Badlands, but it isn't a masterpiece like GOT was in its first five seasons.

What character was that? Many times the first episode of a show isn't that great. GOT first episode was shit until Bram was tossed out of the tower window. The Witcher gets better as episodes progress. I binge watched most of the season yesterday until my tv internet connection failed for some unknown reason.

The queen that was sat on her couch like a fat Twilight fan before saving us all from her terrible acting via window.

That whole section played like we were supposed to give a fuck when it was just bit players having drawn out goodbyes like they were major characters. Meanwhile, we only met them 5 mins before.

I haven’t watched the whole show so I can’t review it but the first two eps were shit. Terrible pacing and one note performances. If you can’t acknowledge that they have major issues then you are just fanboying.

Well, it wasn't a '20 minutes seating in a couch talking'. This was right after she was wounded in battle and was bleeding, knowing that her kingdom was doomed. It was the most dramatic part of that episode and the performances were decent. And all these characters will be seen in later flashback episodes so they were not irrelevant. This show is playing like a puzzle that is slowly putting the pieces together.

I have mentioned before that this isn't a great show, but it isn't neither a bad one. Each episode is unpredictable and I like it so far. I remember when the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was trashed by both critics and fans as a bad imitation of the original show, but slowly it established itself as a solid show that could stand on its own. I view The Witcher as being experimental at this stage until it sets its foot on the ground it will eventually be great at.

The f you talking bout prsss? GOT had me at hello, the opening scene with the White Walkers, the introduction of Tyrion and his dialogue with John Stark, that show was great from the beginning.

My friend told me the Witcher jumps timelines whilst giving zero information of when, where or what’s going on. I doubt I’ll get involved.
