Upset of the decade....I am not sure. Fury was 4/1 to beat Wlad. Hardly massive.

It's got to be Fat Andy vs AJ, that was what, 25-1, 33-1, I think.

It depends what we mean by "Upset"- bookies or boxing fans?

It;'s funny becayse it upset the bookies but I knew anyone who hit AJ hard on the temple might stop him. It didn't shock me.

I didn't wake up and say "did this really happening"....

    So....hard to say.

Fair point about the odds but I personally have Wlad-Fury above AJ-Ruiz I. I guess see it as a mix of betting odds and pre-fight perception.

Fighter of the decade for me is Lomachenko, I know as a pro he only really covers the second half but I rate him that highly.

Fight of the decade I need to think a bit more about, same with KO of the decade.

I myself have absolutely no idea either.

So you look at the RING Magazine KO's of the year for the decade

    Canelo vs Kirkland, seriously? FFS.

There muyst have been fuck all going in 2013 and 2014

    No Wlad vs Pulev?

Same. Usually at least a couple of these categories would have a clear favorite. It's not quite "there are no wrong answers" but pretty near.

I’d say Pacquiao for fighter of the decade.

Upset of the decade has to be Ruiz over AJ

I don’t have a fight of the decade.

Martinez-Williams II was KO of the decade IMO.

I though it was an anti-Trump statement but due regard to Neils feud with JoM I concluded it must be an Anti-JoM statement.

I hear that JoM's response was "U R Stupid Neel"

Fighter of the decade - Pacquiao.

Upset of the decade - Pacquiao over Thurman.

Fight and KO? No idea tbh, I'd have to see a good selection of both to choose, nothing obviously springs to mind for either.

Wilder and Canelo have had some nice KO's, over crap opposition. Should quality of opposition factor into best KO's or? Even Donaire had a really good recent KO, and Inoue too.

    Mex,

You do realize that Pac was the betting favorite over Thurman, right?

Not even remotely close to upset of the decade. It was the expected result by most.

Haha, I know I know. I was just kidding with that one, playing the Pacquiao fanboy. Was going to list Pacquiao as the best fight and KO too but couldn't be bothered :D

But yeah, he was a narrow favourite and rightfully so. Right when the fight was announced I said on that thread, even a 40 year old Pacquiao is a clear level above Thurman and should win.

As for real biggest upset, what do you think? I'm really not sure Ruiz over Joshua is it tbh. I mean, Joshua is just not that good, I knew fat Andy had an excellent chance to beat him.

Could actually be KO of the decade and upset of the decade. At that moment in their careers, no one gave Marquez much of a shot, let alone by brutal 1 punch KO. Pacquiao was considered to be very much prime and on a tear, despite being 34. And obviously more suited to welter.

Even though it wasn't fought between elite fighters, I'm kinda leaning toward Rios-Alvarado 1 as fight of the decade.

Yeah probably. The punch leading to the ko wasn't very spectacular, but pac was literally sleeping for 5 minutes. Very rare to see this in a high profile fight
