What for? It’s just you and a bunch of millennials who like that movie. The dialogue was shit, the story and pacing were shit even the light saber battles were shit and at times laughably shit.

Every time you praise this movie I think you’re doing it just to be different. I’m not saying I think you’re actually doing that, just that it’s so hard to believe anyone can like this movie that it’s the first thing that pops in my head.

you are crazy. Light saber battles are better than any movie. watch the Obi Wan/Vader battle from Episode IV. It's laughable. The last saber battle between Obi Wan and Anikan was epic.

    Millennials? Please.

It gets credit for being the best of the prequels but to say it’s good is laughable. Competent at best. Some laughable acting in it too.

oh and the lightsaber battle? Waaaay too convoluted and long. Surfing on droids through lava? Indulgent pap.

Even though it edges 'Return of the Jedi' just by a hair based on the awesome Obi Wan vs Anakin Vader duel. 'Return of the Jedi' was hard to watch mainly because of the annoying cute Ewoks. Without those fuckers it would have been a great film.

It is not perfect, but 'Sith' is the sole Star Wars film that is both dark and violent. Lucas took off his gloves with this one and made a SW episode for adults. He himself warned that it would not be appropriate for 5 or 6 year old kids. SW films have never shined for the acting so all nine films are guilty in this department. Silly scenes? To me there was nothing sillier than the robot being tortured at Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi while screaming in a tiny voice 'no, noo, noooooo!' *cringe*:Barf:

It’s also the most emotional Star Wars film.

Yes yes the film had all that stuff just like Anthony’s video tries to show and explain what all those scenes in the film were and I get what they were trying to do. The problem is, when you have to explain it because it went over everyone’s head and the execution of it wasn’t done well it equals a bad film regardless of what your intentions were. Also the acting and dialogue in ROTS isn’t bad in a vacuum it’s bad compared to the original trilogy, so don’t try to slip that criticism by with an excuse like that. Finally the Anakan Obi Wan light saber battle was not entertaining and it ended ridiculously but to be fair the only light saber against light saber battles I found entertaining was the double light saber guy, Obi Wan against Grevis, Anakin vs Doku 1 and Yoda.

You only have to explain it to people that haven’t seen it for over 10-15 years.

Time can make a difference i agree, but i think that's more often the case if someone was very young when they saw a movie and/or paid little attention to it at the time.

There's a difference between appreciation and true enjoyment. I''ll put it this way. You are served a meal at a restaurant and simply didn't care for it. Maybe you even thought it was really bad. A video comes out years later detailing all the steps of how the ingredients were sourced, the hard work, time and preparation the chef put into cooking it. There are also reviews from other speaking about delicious it was. Does any of that matter?

I remember when it dropped how much it was praised and loved. After a while people forgot and just started lumping it in with the first two, which was terrible. I just watched it again 2 weeks ago. It's a great Star Wars movie. Much better than Return of the Jedi.

Me and my friends enjoyed it when we watched it upon its release on 2005. At that time I thought it was so fucking great that I placed it on par with The Empire Strikes Back. :Bravo:Then I bought the blu-ray and watched it a few more times and while I still thought it was pretty good, the scene where Vader screams 'NOOOOOOOO!!!' :Scared:made me drop it a couple of notches from greatness. :Gig1:

Plus the 'Its over, Anakin, I have the high ground' is still a great meme.

    Yeah. You said it wrong.

    It's Star Wars.
    Always was Star Wars.
    Always will be Star Wars.

Forget all this Episode IV: A New Hope, subtitle dogshit that came into play a few years ago.

This film keeps spiraling down like no other SW film before. On its fifth weekend it has fallen to the fifth spot with $8.4 million, below 'Jumanji: The Next Level', a film that not only opened a week before Rise of Soywalker, but had less hype and 'anticipation'. Not only that: the film is now most certainly not going to reach 'Joker' international numbers nor that film's global box office gross. While SW: Rise of SoyPalpatine indeed reached the $1 billion mark, it might go down as the most disappointing $1 billion film ever.
