I think it's safe to say this fight is NOT going the distance. Either Brown drowns Cuevas late, or Cuevas overwhelms the slow starting Brown early-t0-mid. I think the most likely outcome is the latter. Cuevas gets Brown in big trouble early, and although Simon keeps getting up, he never truly gets on track. Cuevas TKO 6.
Damn hard fight here between two hard guys. Brown's first fight with Tyrone Trice was one of the most punishing of the 80's decade as Trice was a real banger and I was surprised that he lost to Simon. I did pick Simon over Terry Norris first fight that Brown pulled out of and I was so pissed as I was leaving Vegas and that was the last fight I could have worked. Cannot pick against Cuevas with Brown here - but I'd pick Marlon Starling over both Pipino and Carlos Palomino due to styles.
