Warren vs McGirt I

A little one-sided but very entertaining fight. If you haven't seen it before, check it out. It's what happens when a swarmer's opponent doesn't illegally hold....he wins.

Recall it well - I picked Buddy in the return and he retired Frankie he beat him so bad

 

McGirt was still green when he lost to Warren the first time.

In the rematch, Buddy was a finished product and he proceeded to beat the ever living shit outta Warren. Really lit him up, in arguably Mcgirt's best performance. Warren was basically finished after that.

 

McGirt had more fights than Warren when they fought the first time.

 

How can you say Warren was finished when he won 5 of his next 6 fights? Did he look like shit? Haven't seen his fights following the second McGirt fight.

 

Doesn't mean he had reached his peak. McGirt was like 21-22 in the first fight. The Warren loss actually made him better.

Have you seen the rematch? McGirt put on a clinic for the ages.

 

Haven't seen it yet. Definitely plan to watch it. Also watched Taylor/McGirt. May be time to watch one that McGirt wins.

My only point was Warren was "green" too. But yeah. Different fighters peak at different times.

 

I guarantee that you'll like Buddy's performance in the rematch.

Zero holding... he lit Warren up from the both the outside and on the inside.

McGirt would sure fare well if he was around right now.

The only guys from 140-147 who might beat him are Spence/Bud.

McGirt beats Porter, Thurman, Garcia (both of them), Josh Taylor, and Prograis.

 

Frankie couldn't get out of the way of a punch after being beaten up by Buddy. Yes he came back and had a good win over Micky Ward but ate too much leather and lost to Loreta Garza last fight I think he had a detached retina and quit.

 

Was that before Garza got obliterated by an old Chapo Rosario?

 

Yeah I was thinking about that he was ordinary - tough, but ordinary stood straight up immobile

 

One positive thing I recall about Garza is that he had an excellent jab.

 

Doub, please don't tell me it was your FIRST time watching Taylor vs McGirt.

 

I think it was. I'd always heard it was so one-sided I probably never bothered.

 

Jesus, talk about late to the party. I thought every hardcore fan had seen Taylor-McGirt.

 

McGirt would easily outbox Elizabeth Warren
