That Tyson had NOTHING. ZERO. So it's funny how people think 16 years later @54 Tyson would do anything against any top 500 heavyweight other than get ko'ed in 30 seconds. Tyson at 38 was soooo shot. He moved like a 70 year old. Which also brings up the point that Lewis deserves minimal credit for that win. The Tyson from the Lewis fight was just 3 years removed from the Mcbride fight. The only difference is the Lewis Tyson still had 1 round in him.
Steward himself screamed at Lewis "You got a dead man in front of you". Tyson is finished. It's a testament to the power of social media, in and of itself, and the relative stupidity of people who indulge in it.........that the notion of Mikes resurgence can gain even basic traction. Mike puts on these flashy bursts on the pads and people think it is something special. That's basically 1% of a round of boxing, what he's demonstrated there. And he stops. To catch his breath. Or grin for the camera.
Agreed. Some dumbass friend of mine was talking about how mike could still be a force. He would get embarrassed by any top 100 hw
Top 500. Or even top 1000. At this point you just need a semi tough guy who will not get exhausted after 30 seconds and he's beating Mike.
I know. It brought out- and was intended to bring out- the worst in Mike and make him look a buffoon. "I will fuck you till you love me".
