What if the Lewis vs Vitaly rematch happened?

Lewis trains seriously and comes in at 238 lbs.

Would Lewis have easily won? Or would it have been another brutal devastating war?

Personally I think Lewis wins after another brutal war.

Lewis can't stay on the outside and box against Vitaly. We have seen that in the first fight. It would have been another fight where both bomb eachother and wear eachother down. Lewis prived he was the tougher one in the first fight.

A lot of people take the view that because Lennox was not in the best shape all he had to do show up in better condition in the rematch and win with ease.

I think that's pretty simplistic. While Lewis aged very well for a fighter he still was getting up there and desire is as much as part of fighting shape as body fat percentage. I think there's a reason he retired after the experience against Vitaly. I'm not saying i pick Klitscho but i think Lennox would have had a rough go of it regardless of what his weight was.

A mere eight options to choose from.
    Hmmmmm.
Couldn't you fit another 2 or 3 in there?

Lewis wins handily. It's not a complete rout cause vitaly was too good for that, but his hard jab would make vitaly a lot more weary to throw shots. The LL that faced vitaly was horrible, plodding and no balance whatsoever, yet he was fighting on equal terms with VK. A trained and ready LL is a whole other challenge

Kirk Johnson was the original opponent and he fought Vitaly for the vacant title in the next bout. Vitaly had prepared for Cedric Boswell

A lot of assumptions here to make a plausible pick. Lennox had lost his motivation and it was obvious he couldn't find it back.

If we assume that Lewis could have found the same fire he had against Rahman in the rematch, then he probably wins. However it must be remembered that it was Vitaly's first fight at that level too, and he gained plenty of confidence, motivation and experience from that fight, which would have made him even trickier an opponent.
