I agree with you that it’s ridiculous to state Bam shutting down AD as a fact. At the same time Bam visibly hurt his shoulder in the Celtics series and I think the collision with Howard just reaggravated it badly.

 

I was rooting for Miami to win the series but now I’m rooting for the Lakers to just go ahead get the sweep so we can move on with our lives. I’m not even going to watch these last few games.

adebayo was second team all defense and has the mobility to defend davis out on the perimeter in space as well as near the rim. at one point in game 2, davis was 12-13. scoring several easy buckets in the paint against midgets he was half a foot taller than. enjoy the rest of the series ive seen enough.

 

I’m not a fan of the rings argument either. When it comes to the playoffs and finals I think individual performances say a lot more than rings and to a certain extent says even more than wins because it leaves out other factors such as weak team/teammates, injuries or suspect officiating.

I think LBJ’s statistical edge over Jordan is a bit inflated based on a much longer career in the league. I wouldn’t even harp too much on MJ’s higher scoring average based on Mike being more of an aggressive scorer than Bron. The question one has to ask is this: If they were both somehow cloned to the exact player they were the day they entered the league but you knew what their prime futures will look like which guy would you pick to lead your franchise? Both guys have pros and cons though MJ’s seem harder to think of. Do you take Bron’s superb all around game and game management skills or MJ’s unstoppable scoring and top line defense?

 

Today’s rules have made it very difficult to consistently stop top scorers who top out at 6 feet or less, that task becomes near impossible when it’s 7 foot jump shooters. It was no different with Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant.
