Great matchup! But I have to go with Lopez. Jones was probably the more devastating one punch banger of the two, but Lopez had the edge in every other category. Better chin, better skill, better defense, better handspeed, less susceptible to cuts. It would be a war while it lasts, but Lopez busts Jones up and stops him in about 7.
Great match up. For me, this is akin to a 147 Lee-Sibson/Gonzalez-Vazquez type fight where both go down and get up and everyone is on the edge of their seat, howling. They both have the same tendancies to throw little, but have collosal power when they do throw. I think Lopez is the bigger puncher, throws a bit more and is more refined. I tend to think his chin was pretty decent too. I concur with Xplosive that he wins in about seven.
