Who wins? Canizales reigned for longer, but Rose fought and beat the fat far better opp in his brief prime. I say Rose controls Canizales with his great jab and sharp counters and takes a UD. Canizales not as powerful and dynamic as Olivares
Hard to say. Canizales wasn't as explosive as Olivares, but I wouldn't rule out that he was powerful enough to overpower Rose at some point in the fight. Still, it's hard to assess Canizales in any MM given the (lack of) quality of his opposition.
Yes, it is hard to assess him. His best opponent was Kelvin Seabrooks, who was a decent boxer-puncher, but no great. The previous premier bantamweights of the 80s like Chandler, and Happy Lora both fought vastly superior opposition to Canizales.
