The two greatest Mexican featherweights. Both peaked at the age of 21-23 (Sal for obvious reasons). What say you @Ring Leader
Always stumped me, this one. Both were seemingly awful for eachother, and both were seemingly as good as one another, which was as good as anyone. I think the opening rounds would be cagey and tactical, where both men are getting a feel of eachother. Both men starts to draw eachother into the type of fight they like during the mid rounds. Theyd probably both try and take the final rounds, but I give Salvidar over anyone there. I could honestly see this one being a draw, and I rarely say that about MMs.
This is basically a featherweight Monzon-Hagler, where I switch opinions on the winner each year. Last year, on ESB I think I sided with Saldivar in a close one. This year, I think I'm back to agreeing with RL in favoring Sal by a hair. Sal is one of the precious few featherweights who can match Saldivar's legendary stamina, and I see his height, range, and sharper counters nipping it in his favor. By 2022, ill probably pick Saldivar again .
