To be fair to Golovkin, not Saturday night's version.

McClellan vs the circa 2013-2014 Golovkin.

    Who wins?

Hard to pick. GGG is more skillfull, but Gman had more power and athleticism

McClellan was outboxed by guys worse than GGG.

When he was a skinny punk kid with 10 fights.

    Ridiculous.

McClellan hits Golovkin so often he stops him in 6 rounds.
Golovkin never fought anyone as rangy or powerful as G-Man.

    McClellan TKO7 Golovkin
(and he steals his dogs for fighting practice)

McClellan is a tough one in Mythical Matchups. Logically he should have blown away Nigel Benn in a round...that was my pick at the time but look what happened. McClellan had otherworldly power and a chin virtually on Hagler level, so on paper he should blow everyone away. Problem though is how hittable he was. Because of how much he got hit and how good GGG’s own chin is and the fact that GGG is ten times smarter...I have to believe that GGG weathers the early storm and then proceeds to klll him Stone cold dead. Doesn’t matter how good a man’s chin is, if he gets hit by over 50% of the power punches from a guy like triple GGG, he’s headed to the grave.

Agreed, but much of the damage McClellan received from that fight was also through Benn´s sheer desperation into using rabbit-punches to the side/rear of the head to keep McClellan away from him.

McClellan was an unfinished product IMO - he never developed his defense or punch variety to the extent that he was probably capable of doing.

If GGG can survive an early onslaught from probably the most explosive puncher he's ever fought, then I think he breaks down the other G-man to a mid- or late-round stoppage.
