Michael, in his light-heavy prime, steps up to face Leon Spinks that beat Muhammad Ali. How would it go?
My book on the Spinks' hasn't come yet, so I don't know about the mental aspect which could come into play, but I do know Leon used to look after Michael. Maybe that's a factor? If it's not, Mike blasts him. Different calibre of fighter.
Most people will probably pick Michael, but I always wondered how he would fare against a naturally bigger fighter who could swarm and crowd him on the inside. Despite his awkwardness, Leon had some good technical skill. I think Leon would've made a fine CW champ if that division was available to him while he was still at his peak.
This is what I thought too. Did Michael have enough pop to knock Leon out and if not, how would he deal with him up close. I'd pick Michael but it could be a fascinating fight
Mike is clearly better but style and psychology might be in leon favor. Still, im picking Michael rather clearly
