    Canelo fares very badly.

I think it would resemble Ward vs Abraham.

Canelo matches up terribly against Jones, Ward, Toney, and Calzaghe.

Better to match him against Eubank, Kessler, Collins, and Froch.

Ward for sure. And it wouldn't be terribly close

Ward wins almost every round. Canelo won't fair well against a guy who can control a fight as well as Ward, and he isn't an unorthodox, offbeat fighter like Bika to cause Ward issues. Once Ward figures Canelo out, he takes over and doesn't look back. I'd also probably take Kessler over Canelo until I see something breathtaking from Canelo at 168. Failing to stop Callum Smith isn't that btw.

Do you chaps think ward could come back in 2021 and beat Alvarez with a tune up or 2?

I dunno. I would say its in the realm of possibility, but I'm not sure.

Prime Ward's quickness, reflexes and mobility are what give him a huge edge over Nelo... on top of his size, skill and IQ, I mean. And on top of the fact that he was physically stronger than Canelo.

The skill and IQ won't go anywhere, but his physical gifts have probably declined to a point where Canelo would have an excellent chance. Plus, he would have to deplete his body to make 168 - as Canelo would demand 168.

Also, I agree with George - prime Kessler probably beats Canelo.

The jab though. You saw how a shot to pieces Kov troubled Canelo with the jab alone.

Prime Kessler is a whole different level than Jacobs or Smith. I mean, especially Smith, there's no comparison.

I'm not writing Canelo off completely against Kessler like I would write him off against Roy, Ward, Toney, Calzaghe, but I think Mikkel is still the favorite based on styles.

Ward would be absolutely wrong for Canelo, who thrives on opponents that come to him or are afraid to open up. Ward’s style is poison for Canelo mainly because he won’t give Canelo chances or opportunities to load up. Ward would have size, jab, control, dirtiness, and distance at his disposal, which I can’t see Canelo keeping up with. It’ll be similar to the Mayweather fight but in uglier fashion.

I would enjoy listening to the complaining about the decision afterward.

*Canelo gets dominated in a round*

Brian Kenny: "Ohhh, look at that beautiful left hook by Canelo. Ok, so it missed, but it looked so nice that I'm giving him the round!"

Mannix: "Sorry, I was sidetracked staring at Canelo's ass. What you say, BK?"

Could Alvarez have beaten Patterson for a heavyweight title?

    FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Patterson would knock Canelo's head clean off his shoulders.

I wouldn't pick Canelo over Jose Torres, let alone fucking Floyd Patterson.

Patterson would absolutely obliterate Canelo. So would Torres. I wouldn't pick Canelo over prime Kovalev, or any prime light-heavyweight who was elite.

Canelo wouldn't beat Prince Charles Williams.

And we're talking about Floyd Patterson. LMAOOOO!

Never in my life did I think a win over Callum Smith would come to this.

If he beats Charlo, my Godd!!! Will people start asking if he could beat Frazier and Liston?

If fights like those were to happen i'd pick Canelo because it means something is amiss.
