Preferably ones that went the distance, but there can be some exceptions. The immediate ones that come to mind. Benitez-Duran: Kalambay-McCallum 1: Rose-Harada: Canto-Avelar: Locche-Fuji: Lora-Davila: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnUhNeDLfi8&t=276s Others?
Toney-McCallum 1 was a beautiful clinic on both sides. Starling put on a clinic and a beatdown of Honeyghan. Tszyu put on a nice clinic against Tackie
I remember on here when some young dumbass guaranteed Tackie victory, and wrote out a 7 paragraph analysis of why. I forgot who that guy was. Oh, yeah.... *hides face in shame*
Tackie just too slow. Its funny.... I've never seen a black African fighter with blazing speed like his African-American counterparts. People will laugh but Wlad vs Chagaev was perfect. No clinches, no fouling, I don't think Wlad got hit once.
Speaking of which, looking at your name, let me add: Whitaker-Haugen Whitaker-Ramirez II Whitaker-Pineda
This probably wasn't dominant enough of a win to qualify as a "clinic," but I think the context should be taken into consideration. This is the rematch between Barney Ross and Jimmy McLarnin. In their 1st fight, the younger and more energetic Ross outslugged McLarnin at close quarters for most of the fight. In the rematch, McLarnin produced one of the finest boxing exhibitions of his long career as he kept Ross at bay for most of the first two thirds of the fight. Although Ross came on strong in the championship rounds and had McLarnin holding on toward the end, Jimmy had built up enough of an early lead to get the decision and recapture his title.
Indeed. Weird that african all seem ti be rather slow of hands, while african american are known to be speedster
Quartey, Tiger, Nelson, and Konadu did not have slow hands. But the other-wordly athleticism that you see in a Leonard, Jones, Floyd? No, I dont believe there's ever been an African fighter like that.
Two more of my favorites I forgot to mention: Ortiz-Laguna 1 (Laguna masterful): Ortiz-Brown (Carlos masterful):
I never thought of that before, but it’s an interesting point. The notable black African fighters have average speed, maybe above average, but nothing blazing fast. In fact, the African fighter that sticks out as having fast hands was a white guy in Corrie Sanders. That straight left he had was fast.
Nelson was quick and athletic at featherweight, especially for an attacking fighter. Tiger did not have quick feet, but his hands were very quick.
