This should be really interesting. Name some mythical matchups where years ago you backed one guy, but now you would back the other. I have a few: 1. Pryor-Whitaker: Like 10-15 years ago I would have picked Pryor. Now, I think Whitaker schools him. 2. Trinidad-Curry: For a long time I said Curry. Changed my thinking on the matchup. I think Tito KOs Curry. 3. Sanchez-Pedroza: When I first started following boxing I was the biggest Sal Sanchez fan. I backed him for years. Now I think Pedroza would have won. 4. Hagler-Monzon: Pretty sure that I once said that Monzon wasn't on Marvin's level. I changed my mind in recent years. I think Monzon wins a close one. Others?
Im the opposite of you when it comes to hagler monzon. Used to think carlos would win, now im pretty sure he wouldn't be able to deal with the movement and slickness of hagler
I go back and forth on Tyson-Foreman Some mm's are difficult to pick because the margins are so slim. This is a bit different because you can see a few vastly different scenarios occur. I think Tyson-Foreman is one of those fights where the result should have been obvious in hindsight. A rematch wouldn't likely change much either.
Yupp, I've reversed on that one also. 10 years ago I would have said prime Foreman. But now I think George was too wide open, and 88 Tyson gets him.
Liston vs Tyson, Louis and Holyfield. I used to pick Sonny over all, now I pick all over Sonny. Sanchez vs Saldivar, Monzon vs Hagler, Armstrong vs Pernell, Foster vs Moore, Spinks vs Moore, Chocolatito vs Canto, Harada vs Zarate, etc. So many involving the best ever at their divisions. I go back and forth, but I basically used to pick the first name, now I pick the last. Oh and..... Moon vs Khaosai
