Ryan is not too bad really. At least he showed he has elite power at 135. I mean Haney went 12rds with a washed up Gamboa and couldnt knock him out. It took Tank 12rds to knock out Gamboa. I'm just not so sure Haney and Davis are head and shoulders above Garcia. At least Garcia is younger and still has room for improvement. Tank was getting getting hit flush by Santa Cruz and imo losing that fight until he landed that uppercut.

Do you think this could have anything to do with Garcia’s lack of respect? Maybe they take him too lightly because of his life outside of boxing?

If it's TRUE Garcia had NEVER Been Previously Dropped in his Boxing Life, It's Understandable He was Emotional During the Immediate Post-Fight Celebration...

Until You've Actually Climbed Off the Canvas to Win a Fight, You Never REALLY Know if You Can...Garcia Had to Dig Deeeeeeeeeeep, and In the Process He PROVED Something to Himself...

I think so. Many people viewed Ryan as hype job because he's an influencer. He gets more attention than he deserves because of his looks and popularity. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. As P.T barnum used to say "there is no such thing as bad publicity". Whether people turned up to see him win or lose what matters is they are watching.

    Yeah, you aren't wrong.

He has people watching boxing, that's always a good thing to me, UNLESS its a sideshow "fighter" like Jake Paul - then im against it.

But Garcia is a legit pro, so its a net positive that he puts asses in seats and gets casuals talking.

I think it's only a net positive if a good portion of the casuals actually follow the sport more. (or at least start) I don't know anything about his fanbase but if they're only tuning in to watch him there's no real gain as they'll lose interest the moment he's not a factor.

It's a net positive for a short amount of time. Fast hands, slow feet, no head movement is a classic recipe for a KO disaster in the making.

I watched Garcia's fight with Campbell and it seems fairly easy to take that left hook away from him. If Reynoso doesn't train that Hasim Rahman vs Lemmon Lewis II both arms forward defense out of him, don't be surprise to see him get repeatedly caught by a straight right preceded by a sweeping left hook to blind him.

I meant the attention he generates is a net positive.

    Not his actual ring prowess.

Buddy McGirt gameplanned for Arturo Gatti to try and outbox one of the best pure boxers of all time.

It doesn't get any dumber than that.

Let's do it! This fight has the mainstream buzzing already. No excuses for either guy, let's see this fight happen in the Spring.

Both Tank and Ryan are ppv stars. But because of his social media following I would say Ryan has more to lose in fighting Tank. If I'm Goldenboy I keep Ryan as far away as possible from Tank Davis. For the next 2 years ...Take about 3 to 4 easy fights and build up the Davis vs Garcia fight and instead of taking only 5+ mil maybe get 15 to 20.

garcia wants to get compensated well. he cant do that taking easy fights. thats why he jumped into the campbell fight and almost got knocked out rather than building up to it.

I'll be rooting for Ryan actually, but he won't see past 6.

Tank is much smaller. Both guys are punchers. I see Garcia as a slight fav due to the size

Garcia doesn't how to use his size, therefore he negates his height advantage.

Garcia's odds would improve if he waited 2 years, and maybe improved his D and sharpened up his skills.

If they fight in 2021, and I hope they do, cause boxing needs the attention, that I'd safely say that Davis will stop him.

    Garcia's full interview on Hotboxin:

Ryan comes across as a good kid IMO. Behind the social media persona, he's a pretty respectful kid.

I really thin Tank will stretch him,

Ryan is too in love with his speed, his defensive responsibly goes out the window, and IMO Tank is equally fast but can CRACK
