With all the new guys here now, it's worth redoing this, just to learn eachother better. The order of mine has shifted over the years, especially as I've watched more and more guys. Some I've fallen more in love with, and added, others I've fallen out of love with and they're no longer on. Anyway, this is where it currently stands, my top 10 favorite fighters of all time - the top two will NEVER, EVER, EVER change... those are my boys, for life. They put me onto the sport, and they were my heroes when I was a kid.... therefore they forever stay. Benitez and Duran will always remain in my top 5. All the rest are subject to change, every five years or so. 1. Tyson 2. Roy 3. Benitez 4. Duran 5. Jackson 6. Ali 7. Foster 8. Cervantes 9. Qawi 10. Carlos Ortiz/Wilfredo Gomez tied.
No order and i've limited this to fighters i got to witness for some duration of their prime when i was old enough to appreciate it. In other words boxers i not only enjoyed watching, but would normally be cheering for without knowing the result in advance. Tyson Jones Jr. Chavez Pacquiao Lomachenko Toney Norris Marquez Gatti Golovkin
Evander Holyfield Marvin Hagler Erik Morales Marcellus Johnson Guillermo Rigondeaux Juan Manuel Marquez Ronald Wright Guadelupe Pintor 3xchamp Randall Bailey Joel Casamayor
#10. Evander Holyfield #09. Leon Spinks #08. Gerry Penalosa #07. Carl Thompson #06. Veeraphol Sahaprom #05. Marvin Hagler #04. Erik Morales #03. Michael Watson #02. Marvin Johnson #01. Ezzard Charles GOAT: Sergio Mora Picking just ten was actually really hard. I could give you ten per weight
God don't do a top ten least favourite I got called a racist on ESB coz most of my picks are Mayweather-wannabe type POS.
Aaron Pryor dropped off my list. I fuckin looovvvvvedddddd Aaron Pryor when I first started following the sport, but he doesn't really do it for me anymore.
My all-time favorites are probably, 1. Kid Gavilan 2. Dick Tiger 3. Barney Ross 4. Henry Armstrong 5. Azumah Nelson 6. Carmen Basilio 7. Fighting Harada 8. Gil Turner 9. Lionel Rose 10. Tony Lopez My favorite active fighter is probably Juan Francisco Estrada.
I don't really have a current favorite that I'm super huge on. People label me as a Spence fanatic, but Errol is simply my favorite by default because I don't like a ton of current guys. I'm fans of Spence, Inoue, Crawford, and Regis out of the vets. My three favorites of the new crop are Teofimo, Ennis, and Berlanga. There hasn't been a fighter that I was a HUGE, HUGE fan of since Corrales.
I specialize in signed photos. Here you can see a fine example in my collection. For only $399.99 i'll let it go. Today only fightbeat special.
The days of being fanatical about a fighter are probably over, due to age. If Spence got knocked out this year, I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep. I used to feel physically ill when Mike/Roy lost. I was also bummed as Hell when Corrales lost the first fight to Casa, and got iced in the Castillo rematch. I don't have those kind of connections to fighters anymore.
I think I'd be little more than mildly upset if one of those guys lost. I was pretty bummed when Johnson lost to Beterbiev though. I just don't have an attachment to current guys. I almost well up every time I see the ALS Charles advert.
I was bummed when Regis lost to Taylor last year. But it's like, I was over it in 20 minutes. The connections aren't strong enough anymore that I stay bummed.
In no order Tyson Stevenson Dave Hilton Froch Cotto Corrales Fury RJ back in the days was by far my favorite but went sour on him Older fighters that i didnt see live (hence less invested in them) Qawi Norris Hearns

That is why Little Red Lopez will always be my favorite fighter. I will never be 6 years old again and I will never have a hero like that ever again.
Lil Red is certainly a worthy fighter to have as your all time favorite. I'm a big fan myself. Unbelievable puncher, and always came across as a legitimately good guy.
I chickened out. There were a lot of people around - it was at the fights- and I really thought that I would faint. Little Red Lopez was the only hero that I have ever had. He shows up on my 'people you may know' on Facebook but I'm afraid to send him a request. Little Red was my God when I was a kid.
I used to love Pryor, myself. Then I hated him with a passion. Then I realised that there's no reason to hate him quite so much, and realised how much I love watching him fight and eased off. Now I'm just unaffected by him, emotionally.
