Love this match up. Lots of class, skills, and flash between these 2 guys. Both sharp punchers, high workrate, well rounded boxing skills, and excellent footwork. Its a close fight for me. I think I might have to pick Rodruez to edge this.
Don't know why but I always see it like this when it comes to H2H match up between Napoles, LMR, and Gavilan: Napoles > LMR LMR > Gavilan Gavilan > Napoles
That's actually the EXACT same way I've always seen it! Nice to see we have the identical thinking on that. I do think Rodriguez, given his mobility, wins a close one over Gavilan.
I think those are justifiable. -Gavilan, with his height and range and Napoles' tendency to bleed, probably poses the tougher stylistic matchup for Jose. -Rodriguez's awkwardness and inside mauling tactics probably make him a tougher matchup for Gavi than Napoles. -But perhaps Napoles is better suited to foil Rodriguez's inside tactics than Gavi?
