Agreed, although I would make Emile and Luis the favorites here based on their all-around speed and versatility.
I think Griffith is probably the worst match up for any swarmer at 147, as he was so damn strong and he could either out-fight you on the inside, or just crush you in a clinch. I think he'd time Basilio with his left hook and start to land that while Carmen came in, and then nullify his inside game with under-hooks. Griffith's ring generalship is really underrated IMO. Rodriguez vs Basilio is a really interesting clash of styles IMO, I dunno who I'd go for there. My head is saying Rodriguez is a better fighter, but I think that Basilio has a clear style advantage. But then again, Rodriguez didn't really have any issues with bigger, stronger guys who were pressure fighters, like Briscoe. Hmm, tough one. I'd say Rodriguez, but Carmen is a live underdog, as he vs almost any welter.
Good breakdowns of both, and I agree. Ultimately, I see Basilio losing to both, but I would no issue w/picking him over either one.
