Who wins at 147?

I think Fernandez knocks him the fuck out tbh. I'd take great pleasure in watching it as well.

 

Fernandez would knock the shit outta Marg.

 

I've heard people call Fernandez a lesser Cuevas, and I've heard people say Margarito was too big and 'too good' for Pipino. I massively disagree with the second, and tbh I'm not sure about the first. Figured I'd make the match up, see if anybody makes a case for Margs.

Y'know, even though I'd pick Cotto over Scott/Ortega/Paret, etc; I wouldn't take him over Fernandez. Way too much power there IMO.

Cuevas would halfway kill Margarito.

 

Say what you will about Margarito, but he was a tough bastard with a hell of a chin. That was true throughout his entire career. It was never true of Fernandez. That would be enough for me to pick Marg without too much hesitation.

 

There are some definite similarities. They both were (literally) bone-breaking punchers who threw wide, sweeping haymakers. I think Cuevas had a sturdier chin and better two-fisted power (Floro's primary weapon was the hook), while Floro was a better boxer (when he chose to be, at least).
