Probably the most satisfying fight of a fighter I loved beating a fighter I hated was when Chico battered PooPoo Frietas and made him quit.
I wonder if Chappy is still working at Shoprite somewhere in my state. Perhaps I should go for a drive and look for him.
Tons of times Barrera vs Hamed (I actually enjoy/appreciate Hamed now but not at that point in time) Hopkins vs Calzaghe (likewise Joe has grown on me through the years) Azumah Nelson vs Wilfredo Gomez (I still find Gomez to be overrated but like the other 2 he has grown on me through the years) Floyd vs Hatton (loved Hatton and hated Floyd...likewise Floyd has grown on me through the years) Morales vs Pac (likewise I appreciate pac more now than I did at the time...loved watching morales beat him) I don’t really hate any boxers nor am I a particular fan of any anymore either...so I am not sure who the last one was
I really really REALLY thought that despite his anti-depressants, despite that he was shot, despite that he was not approved ANYWHERE except where they fought.. I believed with all my heart that Tyson would Knock Lennox CLEAN OUT within 30 seconds
I fully admit.. I'm being very honest.. I hated Lennox.. I felt he was knocked out by Rahman (a trashman from Baltimore) He was whupped by McCall, He was in a life and death vs MoHawk bum... i thought even a super shot drugged up Tyson would level him I have come to appreciate that Lennox was a great fighter but at that time..
