Plant vs Truax

I didn't realize until just now that Sweet Hands Plant fights on Saturday, against Caleb Truax.

Huge mismatch, but theres nothing else on this weekend.

Plant will stop Truax.

 

Its a shitty fight, but ill watch it just to watch.

Hopefully 2021 is the year we Plant vs Benavidez.

 

This fight was postponed at least once, possibly more.

 

More and more, it seems like Plant will hide behind his paper title, fighting terrible challengers, until he wins the Canelo lottery. The stuff of cowards

 

Plant already turned down an Alvarez fight

 

Plant's last three opponents have been terrible, but I dont think Canelo is #1 on his radar. Benavidez is.

If not for Covid and cocaine addiction, that fight would have happened last year.

Its not Plant's fault that David wants to blow his career up his nose.

 

Honestly, Plant is one of the worst champions in all of boxing IMO.

 

What does that make Truax, who is a SIXTY to ONE underdog?

 

Hes a better fighter than Billy Joke.

 

An ancient fringe contender.

The real question, is how bad is James Degale's loss to him.

Very little. He isn't one.

He's just better than Plant.

 

Billy Joe is underrated. Guy can box.

 

Sad as boxing is now more of a business than a sport. Don't get me wrong, there always was a huge business component to it but nowaday, it's simply all about the Benjamin's. That's why we keep seeing (and hearing about) joke fights with the likes of the Paul and McGregor but, more and more infrequently, of a fight between 2 top dogs in a division. I mostly blame Floyd for this but also Jones and Tyson (which pains me as I am a big fan), with his circus post prison career.

 

You have to also blame the promoters, the networks and the sanctioning bodies. And most of all, the fans who keep watching and paying for shit fights.

 

As a Benavidez FAN, REED Hopes it Happens as Well...Not Terribly Optimistic About it Coming to Fruition, However...

If Canelo's not fighting either one this year, then can we get Plant vs Charlo?

 

Sad thing is Truax is a big step up from Plant's last two opponents. Watch them try to talk like this is a big fight. Plant's last two opponents were atrocious.

 

Mike Lee was a bum, but he was a bum that BADLY needed exposing because of the all the comical hype he was getting. I quite enjoyed watching Plant destroy that arrogant palooka.

No excuse for that German bum Caleb fought last time out though.
