Eddie was a brilliant puncher, to the head and body. I feel like his inconsistencies, weight problems, and style which was prone to boring fights, overshadows some of his strengths. He was a brilliant boxer-puncher and one of the most brutal body punchers ever at LHW, and virtually un-KOable at his best.

At his best - vs Pops, Martin, Mwale etc; - I think he was on the same level as Qawi.

There might be certain guys Eddie, at his best, matchups up with as well against as Qawi, but H2H I think Qawi beats Eddie, even if Eddie is on his A-game.

As do I, I think Qawi's jab and distance management were both better than Eddie's, and so Dwight would be able to get up close and deal quite a bit of damage. I think that's mainly due to styles though, if every top light-heavyweight was to enter a big round robin, I imagine Qawi and Eddie would have somewhat similar results.

Gus Lesnevich had developed into a pretty big puncher when he returned from his military service. He scored KOs over Freddie Mills and Billy Fox(x2) in title defenses and also HWs Joe Kahut, Melio Bettina, and Tami Mauriello when weighing around 180 pounds.

I think a Mustafa/Qawi fight would’ve cleared up a lot of questions about the hierarchy of that Lt. Heavyweight era.

I think Eddie rematching Saad when both were champions would've been just as helpful.

I think Gregory woulda lost both TBH.

He lost to Saad the first time. What a strange decision that was.

Yeah, I've heard that before. Never seen it though.
