AB is like a modern-day Golota or Judah - no matter how many times he loses, he keeps weaseling his way back onto big fight cards. And people will continue to watch him for the "freakshow" factor rather than his actual achievements.

many watch broner in hopes of seeing him beatdown like he was vs maidana. problem is that was his camacho-rosario moment and since then when he senses an imminent ass whipping either mid fight or pre fight he goes into survival mode.

Easter vs Comet was one of the best lightweight fights of the last 10 years.

Easter and Ryan Martin are about on the same level of mediocre, thats why they could have a decent matchup.

I find everything about AB incredibly boring. I can't even generate enough interest to dislike him any more.

Same here, sad to think he's the same dude that completely dismantled Demarco even tough he's only 31. Completely lost the fire

Who the fuck cares? When you consider that his appearance means some other more deserving fighter does not get to appear, it's all the more baffling that he's headlining yet again.

Mayweather promotions blows. Hard to figure why Showtime has put all its chips with them.

Its not baffling. Its business. Broner is a name and generates ratings. The networks could give a fuck less about "deserving."

I guess I'm saying it's baffling that he generates ratings and is still a "name."

I've never stayed up for a Broner fight, I don't intend to change that.

Valdez-Berchelt is my #1 boxing priority on Saturday. If it ends, and the Broner fight hasn't started yet, then of course I'll shift to Showtime to watch.

I just mainly watch AB in the hopes that he'll lose - and because he sucks - thats very possible.

He's not even a proper freakshow.

Golota vs Byrd, Ruiz and Grant were good competitive fights as were his showings vs Bowe which had a WOW factor before people like Jake Paul and McGregor came along like they invented that shit. Golota vs Sanders was a great fight, and the Mollo fight was pretty good too.

Broner has literally done fucking nothing to warrant the attention he gets. Golota at least combined skill, rarity {at the time he was the only White heavyweight around and NO I don't count Zolkin or Botha or Schulz or Tommy M} and some element of suspense.

Broner is just a mouthy little fat man.

Diminshed talent pool, and the Jake Paul/Ham and Egger McGregor/Social Media "phenom".

Look at the proper freakshows of our times- Fan Man. The Bite. Golota vs Bowe Times-Two. Golota vs Tyson. Rock Newman. Etc. I mean that was going on in the NINETIES.

In the early noughties you had Tszyu/Judah and Roger grabbing Judah and more.

Todays "freaks" are lame and umimaginative.

"Oh, Paulie, I got your girl Paulie!!"

    Fucking clowns.

I would note that both Judah and Golota, though head cases, were extremely talented. You don't make Bowe look like a chump, or give a prime Floyd a tough fight without being very talented.

Broner isn't that talented, not at the top level. It's deeper than him not training hard or not letting his hands go enough - the MF just isn't that good.

Man, I still think about the DeMarco fight. damn did he look good in that one. Guess it was a fluke since he never looked as good before or after.

Look at say Hurricane Carter vs Griffith or Florentino Fernandez, sometimes guys can find that truly stunning performance and just be routine jobbers at heart.

Not really comparable, since these were 1st round ko's (which only showed that he could punch), while Broner gave a prolonged beating to Demarco, and showed some great skills. Still, as I said, probably was a fluke caused by a good style matchup

If anything, it let's you know how much of a fraud that Valero was.

Was DeMarco really that good, though? I would never have thought you needed to be a truly spectacular fighter to beat him.

It's not that he beat him but how he beat him. Looked like a serious talent by dismantling him. But anyway, as I said, he never showed such good form before or after, so it was an obvious fluke

They upped the weight limit for this lazy fuck, predictably. Very ambitious to think the fat cunt would ever see 140lbs in his life again
