Best left KO of all time. The top 5 that come to mind: Robinson-Fullmer Foster-Tiger Foster-Quarry Jackson-Drayton Curry-McCrory: McCrory was technically knocked out by a right hand, but that was window dressing. He was gone after the hook. Jackson-Drayton is my personal favorite cause of how Julian pointed down to the canvas when it landed. But objectively speaking, the answer probably comes down to either Robinson-Fullmer or Foster-Tiger.
Walcott-Charles? Not the most picturesque punch but winning a title by knocking a guy down 4 times with one shot must warrant tyson-berbick mention
Here are two sleepers at bantamweight that I love. Jose Becerra vs Alphonse Halimi: KO at approx 42:00 Ruben Olivares vs Efren Torres: KO at approx 13:00 The Olivares KO was especially awesome.
Ohhh damn! The Patterson leaping hook KO did in fact slip my mind! That indeed has a great argument as the GOAT left hook KO.
All set up by left hooks to the body. The final two were to the head and the 2nd last you can see how Zulu had been fast asleep waiting for the body attack and then it came back up top suddenly.
Nearly down from a bodyshot before that....first time he got his wind back enough to stand back up and boom
Montell Griffen is alleged to have told Eddie Mustafa Muhammad once "I could have taken you" whereupon EMM replied "Taken me where? To the bathroom"?
Of recent years I think both my faves were by Donaire : vs Darchinyan & Montiel The way Donaire rolled right hands with that left hook counter was high art
Left hooks produce highlight reel KOs more frequently than other punches, probably because the angle, more likely to catch the guy with a shot they don’t see coming. Robinson-Fullmer and Curry-McCrory are definitely 2 of my favorites because they were so short and quick. Ruddock-Dokes is another one. The first left hook put Dokes on Queer Street, the 2nd left hook knocked him unconscious, and the 3rd one damn near killed him.
