I'd favor G to break Pavlik down.

Good fight. I tend to lean a bit toward Pavlik, but that might be me overrating him

I dont think its overrating him.

I think 07 Pavlik has a goddamn good chance of beating Golov.

Good fight. I'd give a narrow edge to Golovkin based on his inside fighting skills and ability to retain his pace.

Also, Golovkin's results (mainly the near-unanimous W over Canelo while getting up in age) seems pretty good in hindsight, despite giving him the overrated-tag

It's absurd how people somehow try to twist that fight into being a "legacy killer" for G, when outfighting an ATG/HoFer roughly 8-4 would normally do the exact opposite for a fighter's legacy.

I think GGG breaks him down with body work and stops him in about eight. It'd be a damn good fight though, with Pavlik landing things Golovkin didn't like. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if he started fighting a little differently like he did vs Canelo and Lemieux.

It's hard to go with Golov with any certainty when his prime was spent beating up cans.

Could I see him beating prime Pavlik? Certainly.

But nothing suggests it would be a case of Golov breaking him down and stopping him in 7-8.

Even journeymen like Rosado and Stevens went 8 with Golovkin.

Yeah, I would make Golovkin the favorite here, but not by much. I think the Pavlik of Miranda, and Taylor 1 is an extremely live underdog here.

The inexplicable happens, Pavlik wins in a bruising war, yet somehow loses the drinking contest

Might ne weird.to say, since it was a dominating performance, but the lemieux fight is when i started to doubt GGG. Seemed really uncomfortable when Lemieux landed a few punches

Agreed. GGG may have a great chin, but I don't think he likes being in those kinds of wars.

Yup. Kelly is more comfortable in tear ups than Golov, which is why I give him an excellent chance.
