The ESB consensus is McCallum - I think it's pretty obviously Benitez.

    What say you people?

It just occurred to me that I've been MIA from ESB for awhile now. Its not intentional or anything.

But anyway, I fully agree with you. I think its Benitez clearly.

Bigger wins plus the distinction of being the youngest champ ever.

I dont think McCallum's better longevity surpasses that.

Agreed. I can see an argument for McCallum but i take Benitez for the same reasons you listed.

    Greater? Benitez.
    Better? Benitez.
    H2H? Benitez.

But it's actually close in all three. And I should say that I much prefer McCallum.

I'd say Benitez was probably a better fighter during his brief peak, but they rate more comparably all-time due to McCallum's greater longevity and consistency.

    H2H at 154, I'd favor McCallum.

I think Benitez outboxes McCallum at 154.

Benitez is greater, McCallum aged much better, and in a 154 lb. fight Benitez would win a close, controversial decision

I can't see Benitez beating McCallum. McCallum is arguably the goat at 154.
