Yeah, I concur with both responses. McGirt didn't have the arsenal to keep Cuevas off, and unlike Brown, Cuevas didn't apply slow, methodical pressure. He applied frenetic, balls-to-the-wall pressure and had far more "not give a fuck" in his style than Brown. I think he breaks Buddy down, and circa 7-8 McGirt gets flattened.
This is a fight that would go to one extreme or the other. Either Cuevas would walk through McGirt early or Buddy would give him a boxing lesson. I am a McGirt fan so I probably have some bias but I remember Cuevas vs Randy Shields. Shields gave Cuevas a very hard fight. Of course he was taller than Buddy but I don't know that he was as good.
I agree, it's either McGirt whitewashes Cuevas, or gets overwhelmed. I think the latter is more likely.
