https://mobile.twitter.com/MichaelBensonn/status/1388230547189682186 Arreola weighs-in at a career low
I’m more interested in their showdown at the after fight buffet. That’s where the true fight will happen.
Kicking off the weekend of Champeenship boxeo, Sunny Edwards with some very odd scoring has become el nuevo campion mosca. Unanimous decision win over Mrthani of South Africa. 118-110, 120-108 and...... 115-113.
Jesus Ramos vs Javier Molina is the fight im most interested in on that card. ramos is PBCs best prospect and this is a step up for him
Now, in other fatty hvy weight news, Chisora is threatening to cancel his appointment with Joseph Parker over sime ringwalk bullshit.
he's past prospect stage to contender even if he is. i think he's tryina get out of a contract to get with haymon
Ruiz is still 256lbs. He's still too heavy. I don't think he'll do Arreola in 2 or 3, I think this fight has been made as a good-bye fight for Arreola to make some money. I see it going good rounds and Andy getting a "workout" which was "necessary" for him to get back into shape blah blah. If he comes out and just "does" Arreola, I would be very very shocked. Here's what the bookmakers are saying........ Ruiz on the left, Arreola on the right
Contrary to somewhat popular belief, Ruiz is not a big puncher. He isn't a tank who would walk through guys. Instead, he is a surprisingly quick guy with a good inside fighting technique and mediocre punch. Mind you, he lost to Joseph Parker, couldn't put a dent on Kevin Johnson and has zero credible wins besides (sick) Joshua
Was Joshua sick before or after he got hit? I think it was after Then again, I always said it was the fatty with a left hook from left-field that did the damage with Joshua, which is why I refuse to write him off vs Fury. Agreed on much of the rest, he's clearly not a huge puncher per se.
Can anyone tell me since when was it customary to introduce not just the fighter but the fighters trainer, too? Craig "Spider" Richards, Richards vs Dmitry Bivol, Bivol.........is next.
Round 1. Hapless Fool looks a lot bigger. He pumps out meaningless jabs. Beevol has nice shorts, nice colour combo. Beevol backs him to the ropes but Fool slides off them. Commentator feels that Fool is "feinting" with his front ........foot. Beevol throws the right. Fool gets in a good left hook downstairs. Very little happening. I give it to fool, 10-9 sympathy vote.
Round 2. Beevol tries to keep up the pressure. He gets in a right hand downstairs. Fool has done nothing so far. He paws with the jab. Fool tries the 1-2, Beevol covers up. "Chinks in the armour", says the commentator, That's his career over. Beevol lands the 1-2, more the 1 and a bit of the 2. Beevol doubles up on the jab and lands it, he lands a right over Fools lazy jab. Beevol steps in with the jab and lands a right downstairs. 10-9 Beevol. 19-19 each after 2 rounds of soporific brilliance.
Round 3. Fool keeps up the jabs. THey are mostly landing short or on the gloves. He gets encouragement from his corner, which is refereshing. Beevol not doing much. "Boxing is all about distance", says the commentator. Fool lands a right hand and moves off. Not a lot happening. They trade jabs. I give it to Fool, he leads 2-1 after 3. 29-28
Round 4 Katie Taylor gets warmed up backstage. Huge news that. As I was saying, Round 4. Beevol feints the jab. He lands two to the belly. There then comes a large pause of around 30 seconds. Beevol throws jabs. Fool has become static. Fools corner tell him to try the left hook. Terribly little happening. Commentator says it is "absorbing". Beevol landed more better shots, he wins this. 38-38 after 4.
Round 5. Fool can be proud of his efforts so far against this Mongol. Round 5. Beevol again maintains the jabs. When Fool throws, they are "Don't hit me punches". Beevol lands the right. Fools long jab is keeping Beevol off him. they exchange, Beevol misses, Fool lands big! Shouts of encouragement from his people. It's nice when your corner are with you!!! Fool takes advantage of this by throwing more jabs that land short. Beevol gets off a few jabs to the belly. Close round. I give it to Fool. Fool by 1 after 5. 48-47 Fool.
Round 6. I've my mind made up about Beevol. He's not Roy Jones. Beevol is trying the hook off the jab but Fool pulls back and makes him miss. Beevol shows the better jab again, including counter jabs. Beevol {the name is an insult to Bee's} misses with a big right. Fool has held his hands this round. Beevol tries the lead left hook., Misses. They swap shots, A left from Beevol, a right from Fool. Beevol wins the round. 57-57.
