I'm fully expecting everyone to say Tszyu, but I feel an argument could be made that Michalczewski was better, or at least on par. Or not?
Definitely Tszyu. He was first to beat the all time great Zab Judah and gave the all time great Hatton all he could handle, albeit in a losing effort. Who the hell has Michalczewski ever beat? Plus—unless you have a college degree—the guy has a name you have to Google just to get the spelling right. So yeah, Tszyu.
I can't see a case being made for Dariusz. Tszyu at his best was ranked top 3-5 p4p, whereas Dariusz never broke to top-10. Perhaps he would have been rated higher if Roy didn't exist and he wasn't without abilities by any means, but even so, Tszyu
I don't see it - Tszyu showed more power at the elite level, was more versatile, and had a tested/proven iron chin. The only advantage I see for Dariusz over Tszyu was his jab. Also, Dariusz's acting performance in the 1st Rocchigiani fight was arguably more of an embarrassment than Tszyu's surrender vs. Hatton.
Please... Zoo’s name is no cakewalk to spell, that’s the very reason many including myself smartly choose the phonetic spelling.
DM had the physical tools to be better. Like most comfortable fighters, he was too happy having things all his own way. Zoo was better because he fought better guys and needed to be beaten down to surrender. DM was physically better and would do better against the elites of his division between 2000 and 2020.
You’ve got to be kidding. It’s five measly letters. You can remember how to spell Tszyu after seeing two or three of his fights. That other guy has thirteen letters in his name which also plays on a misspelling of the name Michael. So advantage Zewski, or is it disadvantage? I’m getting confused.
There is a longer clip i couldn't find where they let him "escape" so they didn't have to deal with the paperwork.
