In my opinion, rating Sandoval off of the Chandler fight is misleading; that was the night, and the fight, of his life. If he is on like he was that night he would probably beat Borboa but it might be the only night of his career that I would be certain about that. Borboa was a very solid professional. I say that as someone that really looked up to the Sandoval brothers. Richard making the Olympic team and becoming a world champion after his brother had fallen short, and before Albert Davila, who was better than either brother, was a highlight of my youth. As years have gone by, I have a little voice in my head that tells me that, if I took the time to review their careers, I'd find that Alberto Sandoval was the better pro, if less accomplished.
