Davis vs Barrios is less than a week away. Anyone ordering it? Firesticking it?

I think I'm actually gonna order it. It should be an explosive matchup, regardless of the winner.

I think Davis has some early problems, but eventually blasts Barrios circa 7-9.

If Davis blasts him early with no problems, then it'll be impressive.

    Thoughts?

Its possible, but I suspect both Tank and Loma will win.

I'm watching either Loma, or Martinez. I couldn't give a fuck about Tank.

Will be interesting to see how Davis does at 140 with no size advantage and against a definitely taller opponent.

And Lubin vs. Rosario should be good too.

    It's a good matchup.

Davis isn't as good as his hype, but at least he's guaranteed not to be boring.

Barrios is an exciting fighter as well.

Not too arsed whether or not it's a good match up. Loma vs Nakatani is a much higher quality match-up IMO, and has the added wonder of seeing how Loma deals with such a lanky pain-in-the-ass coming off the back of surgery. Plus, Loma is well better than Tank and I reckon Nakatani is clearly better than Barrios too. If I'm remembering right, Barrios should've lost to Batyr. I absolutely despise Tank and while I hope he's brutally KOed, I'm not gonna waste my time and watch it live. I'm far more interested in the much better match-up (IMO, obviously) and seeing how a real elite talent like Martinez progresses.

Agreed. And with respect to Loma being a lot better than Davis, yeah probably, but I'm not convinced that the current Loma would beat Davis.

Nakatani... I feel like Nakatani is getting overrated. Let's put things in perspective - Nakatani gave a good account of himself against a Fimo that was very distracted and not at his best. And still, Fimo won clearly.

He (Nakatani) then went life and death with Verdejo, which isn't exactly the hallmark of an elite fighter, as Verdejo is fucking garbage - as a fighter and a human.

Nakatani is getting too much hype. Loma should not lose this fight.

Davis-Barrios, to me, is the far more compelling matchup because there's better odds of an upset and better odds of an action fight.

Agreed. Nakatani is gutsy and though as leather, but he's getting ridiculously overrated. The.Verdejo win was a great comeback, but it was more a case of Verdejo being a fragile frontrunner than anything else

And Verdejo almost had him out.

The Lopez fight has him incredibly overrated, but let's be honest.. if they had a rematch and Fimo was focused, he would fuck Nakatani up.

As long as Loma has trained well, he should be winning this.

I won’t be surprised if Barrios pulls this out, but If I had to bet, it would be Tank.

As Stated in the Loma-Nakatani Thread, There's HIGH Upset Potential w/Tank-Barrios, for Similar Reasons...

    Tank - 5'5 1/2, 67 1/2 Reach
    Barrios - 5'10, 71 Reach

TALLEST, RANGIEST Fighter Tank Will Have Ever Fought...At a Weight Tank is 100% Foreign/Unproven At...

Santa Cruz Presented BarriosESQUE Attributes...Stance, Approach and He TROUBLED Tank Davis...Swelled His Right Eye and Everything...Difference Is, Barrios is Loooooooonger, Stroooooooonger and Hits HARDER than LSC...

1st and Foremost, Barrios Needs to Be VERY Active w/His Jab...Mix Up Speeds, Paw w/It, Just Leave it Out There Sometimes, All to Ultimately OCCUPY Tank's Short Ass w/the Left Jab...Barrios is a Counter-Puncher by Nature and Delivers SNEAKY Ass Uppercuts/Bodyshots...SHARP, If Not "Hard" Puncher, Also...

Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if Tank Wins CONTROVERSIALLY or LOSES Outright...REED's Lumped Loma-Nakatani w/This Fight on UPSET Potential, But @ Least Loma's FOUGHT @ '35 Previously...

Again, Tank or Loma LOSES Tonight, in REED's Opinion...

I don't see it. Think it will be fairly routine wins for both names
