Well, I never expected to accomplish this, but my YouTube page of fights has surpassed 1,000 subs. I'll start progressively uploading more and more fights in the fall - YouTube levied two copyright strikes against me thanks to one piece of shit media company, and I'm waiting for those strikes to expire next month. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVWgPQqLgjYCSpo3_oGEspw
Congrats on the subs man. Your channel is absolutely ace. Unfortunately it means you might have to be more careful with uploads. The worst thing is that the strikes will happen on some random ass fight. Mario Sanchez had some on a Yoko Gushiken bout and a Corrie Sanders bout. Fucking Corrie Sanders. I can't upload any HD copies of Harada bouts as it seems to get channels removed, too. From my knowledge, be careful with any bouts from Japanese Broadcasting Service (JBS) or Korean Broadcasting Service (KBS).
Yeah, I'm trying to be especially careful with Asian fights. I know KBS is a powerful entity, and I would never upload their fights, as I'm sure they'd report me. But it wasn't the Asian fights I got in trouble for. I got strikes for a Junior Jones fight, and an Ivan Robinson fight. Sucks because I still have 3 more weeks of worry time. If I get one more before July 26, I'll get deleted. Fortunately, one is due to expire on the 26th, and the other is due to expire on I believe August 12. So, I'm just laying low for approx another month, and my account will be clean again.
I'm just now discovering your YT channel. Congrats on the subs! I will definitely start following your page! And yes, hopefully it doesn't become a constant issue when uploading these fights. I know it's hard to put them out there without risk of getting copyright strikes. Hope your channel continues to grow Xplosive!
Also guys, check out 'classic boxing archive'. They've been uploading loads, including some fights that I haven't even seen before or had been removed, with extremely high quality.
These channels should just upload privately and then share with who they like, maybe on forums. Copyright is ridiculously quick on some of these. I've seen full film uploads last longer.
Congrats on 1,000 Bruh! REED's More of a Random Search Type When it Comes to Youtube Fights, but He JUST Subscribed to Your Channel Because You're the Homey... REED
What pisses me off about copywrite claims is in cases when the owners of material have never done (or seemingly ever will) anything with it. A boxing match from 1972, a TV commercial from 1983 taken down. Copywrite strike? Does the company have its own youtube channel with that content hosted? Are they selling DVD's with that video and fear losing out on revenue? No. It's like a child only interested in a toy if another kid plays with it. That's mine! In many cases it's not even necessarily the company directly coming across content and filing a complaint, it's bots going through an algorithm based upon content ID. Music is usually the worst. Some guy could be driving around in his car talking about his admiration of water lilies and a guy in another car drives next to him with the radio on blasting some song. BOOM! Copywrite infringement. It's all made the worse because there is so much content all uploaders are treated as guilty until proven innocent.
Did X threaten you in some way? "If you don't like and subscribe , every single video is being replaced by Roy-Tarver 2"
The algorithmic strikes that the Google/YT bots find don't actually count as a copyright strike. All they mean is that you can't monetize that particular video. You can have 100 of those and YT won't remove your channel. It's just 100 videos you can't make any money on. Actual copyright strikes that count against your channel come from third party complainants. If you get more than 2 of them in 90 days, YT axes your account.
Do you get notified when it's a bot one and does it give a specific reason as to why or is just a generic template "this material violated one of 10 billion possible things"
Fuck it. I'm gonna start up a new channel and just upload privately and share them with you guys if interested. No point making it public cus strikes + we're the only types who care anyway.
Currently in the process of uploading Miguel Lora vs Raul Perez, which for some reason is not on youtube and unavailable on most of the internet.
I'm gonna purchase Jeff Chandler vs Julian Solis 1, and upload it by end of month. That's a fight I've always wanted to see, and its never been on YT - that boxing archive guy had uploaded it and it got deleted while I was watching it. So, ill replace it within a few weeks.
