I hope Porter wins this. A quality fighter with a bit of hard luck about him regarding decisions. He is the best opponent Crawford will have faced in years if he comes in peak condition.

I have to disagree about the hard luck part. Porter isn't a hard luck fighter at all.

His decision losses to Brook, Thurman, and Spence were all correct.

If anything, Porter is a lucky fighter. Most (including me) thought he lost to Ugas - he gets that decision. If you go back to early in his career, most thought he lost the first fight with Julio Diaz - he gets a draw.

He also got the decision over Garcia, and even though that decision was correct, I swore that Porter was gonna get robbed, because the fight was at Barclays Center, and with Garcia being from Philly, he was basically the hometown fighter. I was at that fight - it was ALLLLLLLLLL Garcia fans. So the fact that Porter actually got a just decision in that one lets you know he's not a hard luck guy at all.

He's been treated very fairly in his career, actually.

As for this matchup, I'll believe it when the fight is signed, sealed, and announced. If it actually does happen, I expect Crawford to beat Shawn's ass.

I think right now Porter is overrated based on the Spence fight.

Crawford counters quicker and sharper than Spence. I think he's gonna catch Shawn with a lot of shit he doesn't see coming.

There's nothing in Porter's career that points him to being able to overcome Crawford. He's a guy good enough to give the elites a tough fight, but not good enough to beat them.

I think Crawford will come out victorious but he'll have to go through a long tough battle. Porter always gives his all against the best opponents he's faced and it wouldn't surprise me if we see yet another highly competitive scrap. Who knows, could be Fight of the Year or Upset of the Year.

Porter isn't any worse than that Sabonis guy that Crawford got hurt against. Porter is gonna do better than that, and he's going to out-weigh Crawford by 10+ pounds

I doubt they'll be much of a size difference. IIRC, Bud weighed 164 in the ring vs Horn. He's as big as any of the other welters, even if he moved up.

i doubt porter will take the fight.

haymon would need to bid 7.5 mill for porter to get the 3+mill he seeks

I think it's the opposite. Porter was very underrated prior to the Spence fight

Tell me where I wrote Crawford "destroys" Porter. I said he'll beat Porter's ass, and he will.

It won't be a blowout, but Crawford will take him apart more and more as the fight progresses.

Crawford wasted his whole prime. He still should win this easily. Hopefully it leads to him vs Pacquiao.

There will be no Pacquiao. Aug. 21 is his last fight.

Did he say that or you think he gets wiped that bad? I think Pacquiao unifies then retires.

REED Expects Crawford to WIN, But Even Spence Didn't "Beat Shawn's Ass"...

Porter Gave (Pre-Accident) Spence his TOUGHEST Fight, Bar None, and REED Would Be Shocked If That Also Wasn't the Case w/Crawford....

    Why WOULDN'T He???:Dont:...

Bud's NEXT Fight Frees Him Up from Top Rank, If He Truly WANTS Out, That Is...

What Better AUDITION from PBC's Perspective Than Crawford-Porter???...If Crawford Wins, Sign Him Up...If Porter Wins, Onto Porter vs. the Spence-Pac Winner and Kick Crawford to the Curb...

Apparently, PBC Paid Danny Garcia $5mil for Spence...They Could Afford $3mil + for Porter to Face Crawford, KNOWING a Negotiation Ensues....

Yeah, I think Crawford will beat Shawn more convincingly than Spence did.

What? Do you think Pac is still in his prime or something? He should have retired already.
