It’s been pretty well documented Oscar mostly earned his triples because the game was played at such a high pace there were lots more shots going up per game which made for more rebounds and points. I’m not saying he didn’t earn it because nobody else did it, but the pace definitely helped. Russ doesn’t have that same advantage and triple doubles are rarer than ever.

What Russ does on a regular basis is more than amazing it’s underrated because the guy is so hated by the masses and people like TexMex who’s consistently hated on Russ for years. Today’s players are flat out better than yesterday’s players, it’s a fact. It’s highly likely Russ is much better than Oscar ever was and he’s earned every one of those triple doubles regardless of people like TM trying to discredit it for no other reason than a biased dislike of Russell Westbrook.

Where did you see me say those were the only redeeming qualities I could come up with? Only an overly biased, overly hateful person—which you admit you are—would think that. It doesn’t matter where Russ thinks he’s at in the league, he still plays hard and he wasn’t taking game winning plays away from Beale. He deferred to Beale in those moments.

You boxed out a lot? Congratulations so did I. You don’t think someone who plays as hard as he does doesn’t need to take breaks at some point? That’s why his boxouts and defense suffer. Also, do you realize you hate Russ so much you’re counting his boxouts while omitting and making excuses for his rebound numbers? So now rebounds don’t matter but boxouts do? That’s fucking beyond retarded as boxing out is done in order to get rebounds. If you can get rebounds without boxing out it’s usually not considered a problem so wtf are you even talking about? I’ve heard a lot of Russ criticisms before but this is absolutely the biggest reach and first time I’ve ever heard this ridiculous shit.

Also please don’t compare a couple good playoff games by Rubio to Westbrook. Rubio is a fucking loser who was supposed to be what Luka Doncic is and he completely flamed out. That guy couldn’t hold Westbrook’s jock strap.

Also you didn’t give facts you’re spewing the same bullshit myths those casuals you mentioned give. It’s obvious you don’t actually watch him play because you said how much you hate the guy. And yes he will often leave his man as his defensive focus has always been an issue. Like I said there’s plenty of flaws to criticize and if you had criticized factually instead of biasedly with myths I wouldn’t have addressed it. But when I see someone posting bullshit because they can’t stand someone I’m going to call them out on it. It’s that reason I addressed you and has nothing to do with me being overly sensitive or overly protective.

Russ is Still Living RENT FREE In the Mind's of the Usual Suspects.:Jest:..

Best Believe, if Bron "Hated" Russ, the Trade Wouldn't Have Even Been ENTERTAINED, Never Mind Pulled Off...

Rebounds???...The Objective of Rebounding is to SECURE the Rebound Itself...Blocking Out is a TOOL That Can Be Utilized to Facilitate Rebounding, But if You Have the Athletic Wherewithal to SECURE the Ball w/Out Blocking Out, There ISN'T a Coach in the World That Will Bitch About That...

Dudes Are Like JILTED Ass Lovers Around These Parts, When it Comes to Russ...And Now He's a LAKER!!!!

Anyways, Russ is a Perfect Compliment to TODAY's Version of LeBron James...Bron Needs a Certified DOG On his Team - an Energy Guy Who Can Relieve Him of Ballhandling Duties and the Pressures of Having to Carry the Scoring Load Every Night...

Bron Needs a Teammate That Can Keep the Lakers COMPETITIVE as He "Load Manages" for the Playoffs...

Most Importantly, Bron Needs a Teammate that Puts SUBLIMINAL Pressure on AD's SOFT Ass...A Teammate That Makes it Hard for AD to Tap Out from the Slightest Bit of DISCOMFORT, as he Typically Does...

Russ is a Good Addition for the Lakers on MANY Levels and REED Hopes Russ' Fightbeat Critics LOATHE Every Minute of It...

What if Westbrook betrays Lebron WWE style? Kind of like Randy Savage and Paul Orndorff did to Hogan. After a tough loss they're both being interviewed on the floor and Russ uses the opportunity when James is speaking to deliver a nasty sucker shot.

Man I just got around to watching the draft today and what a damn joke it has become. I believe similar complaints were made last year about the fact the focus has moved away from basketball. Instead the focus seems to be on drawing in the casual viewer by giving us shots of Lil Wayne and other celebrities congratulating the draftees, and giving us a peak into their personal lives and interests.

They don’t even give highlights on every player. I swear the fucking greed of capitalism just ruins everything.

I honestly don’t think Leonard would have been Westbrook’s cup of tea either. Criticize Russ if you like but he has no room in his DNA for halfassing and lazy people. Leonard taking games off and occasionally canceling practice like he was said to have done would have drove Russ crazy. It’s one of the big reasons he wanted out of Houston and away from Harden.

Melo to the Lakers for 1 year, probably his last.

Drummond to the Sixers for one year, that’s a terrible move.

Derozan heading to the Bulls who look like they’re really going for it. Don’t know how well Dero and Lavine fit together but you can’t say the Bulls aren’t trying.

How About Being DELAYED On the Runway, About to Leave for a Road Game, Because Kawhi's Helicopter Is Late???...

For Better or Worse, Russ Wears and Carries his Baggage On His SLEEVES...You KNOW What You're Getting Into Before Committing to Him...ALL Of It...Whereas Kawhi MASKS His Clear and Present Arrogance By Being QUIET On the Surface...

    Motherfucker INVENTED "Load Management"...

Kawhi's a Better PLAYER Undoubtedly, but as a TEAMMATE There's NOfuckingCOMPARISON...Knowing Russ was COOL w/Harden Yet Wanted Out, as You Stated, He May Have Very Well SWUNG On Kawhi's PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE Ass....

REED's Convinced Russ PUBLICLY Slighted Neil in Some Way...Neil Typically Bends Over Backwards for Cali Players, Yet His LEAST Favorite Player is CLEARLY Russ...

His Westbrook Points are as"OBJECTIVE" as Tex Mex's @ This Point...

It was obviously Westbrooks ppl who leaked the story to shelbourne. You think it's fake? :Jest:

I've never met Westbrook. Told you that already

As a ucla fan he has been a disappointment with how his career evolved. I dont like guys who fail to play the game properly

You Could Certainly Argue Russ Could’ve ACHIEVED More on a Team Level, But “Disappointed” Certainly Isn’t Appropriate Regarding Not Just Russ but ANY 1st Ballot HOF’er…

Unless You’re PROGRAMMED to Hate Them, That Is…

Short of a Championship, There’s Not Much Melo and Russ HAVEN’T Done Though? :Dont:

There’s a LAUNDRY LIST of 1st Ballot Hall of Famers Who NEVER Got a Ring, & No One Calls Their Careers a “Disappointment”…

Ultimately, FEEL How the Hell You Feel…Just a WEIRD Description of the Career of ANY 1st Ballot HOF’er, in REED’s Opinion…

Anthony and Westbrook had more talent around them than Say a Barkley so to me they are different situations

There's a gap there between guys who just get numbers but don't help teams win as far as impact on the game overall

doncic 5-18 and 2-9 from the arc as france beats slovenia by a point. i say USA crushes the fr*gs in the rematch as long as durant isnt in foul trouble the entire game again.

Melo is easily a FBHOF would more likely be based on his college career and some USA gold medals. Is being a top scorer and multi allstar enough for 1st ballot status based strictly off his NBA career?

I agree with Reed that there is zero room to consider what Westbrook became in the NBA as a disappointment. For a guy who was pegged as an energy guy/defensive specialist coming out of college to become a superstar, MVP, multi allstar, multi league leader in assists and break, average and own the triple double record. That’s fucking high expectations for even a projected #1 pick. Forget the fact Russ felt like a reach getting picked at #4.

People can nitpick the decision making, defensive breakdowns/focus and shooting all they want but to say that guy’s career is a disappointment is ridiculous. Your only leg to stand on is the fact he hasn’t won a championship and honestly if you’re even going to attempt to play it, you’re just a hater whether you realize it or not.

not only hasnt he won a championship he barely made it out of the first round of the playoffs once since durant left. in a game 7 last year vs okc.

i agree that if you judge him from his brief stint at UCLA then his nba career has been a great success. however, based on his early development in the league, i expected him to become a championship caliber player. unfortunately, for him and the teams he has played with, the mental aspect of his game never advanced and his defense and shooting ability has somehow regressed.

The '21-'22 Lakers is like an extremely lame version of the '03-'04 Lakers with Payton and Malone
