Lionel Rose was only at his best for one or two fights. He was either green, or weight drained.

David Reid. Strong amateur, had 3 or so good years undefeated in the pros then got wrecked by Tito - basically all over.

I don't remember how long Hozumi Hasegawa was at the top, but he crumbled quickly

I remember that but I never understood the Ouma hype. He was a very underwhelming fighter IMHO. Yeah, he was certainly a contender (and briefly a "champ"), but nothing he did in the ring explained why he was seen as a budding star.

he had a unique style and threw a ton of punches. he had some decent wins too in entertaining bouts . for example, against v. phillips, jc candelo and marco rubio.

In hindsight, Ouma was just a good fighter. Capable of beating other good fighters, but would have always fallen short against the very top.

A MM with Ouma vs James Kirkland would be fun, and I think Ouma beats Kirkland.

I had mentioned Ouma vs Tall Paul, but truthfully, Tall Paul was a higher caliber than Ouma.
