Who wins? I expect to everyone to say Calzaghe, but its funny how opinions change. I remember the Calz vs Michalczewski question getting posed in the early 00s and people laughed at the thought of giving Joe a chance. However, I would favor Calz. I think he's too quick for DM on the outside, and Joe was a much better infighter.
I think it'd be an awesome fight, but yeah, Calzaghe should be favoured. Michalczewski is a tough fight for him though, and I only think he wins due to the styles. Michalczewski didn't do particularly well vs southpaws as well as having no inside game.
Pick em imo. Even though he was a far cry from an atg, DM tends to be underrated. I think his jab and strength would give a lot of trouble to Calz
Calz for me too. Dariusz was hittable and Calzaghe would score more to edge most rounds. Michalzewski would give him a bruise or two however
It hurts DM that he was totally inept as an infighter. Calz could pull off shit against DM that would never work against say.... a Qawi or a Saad.
Things look favorable for a prime DM if he was around today though. His only threat would be Beterbiev. Bivol sure as Hell isn't beating DM, and I can't see anyone currently at 168 beating him.
I think Smith has a chance of nailing DM in a war. He'd take a bit of beating though if he never pulled that shot off.
DM would beat Callum Smith within an inch of his life. Icing some bum in his comeback fight doesn't change the fact that he's not a top level fighter. No guy who can't legitimately beat John Ryder is beating DM. Check DM's fight with Nicky Piper. It would look just like that.
Ohhh lmao! You gotta be more specific, considering there's now two Smiths at 175. Yeah, Joe Smith can crack like Hell. He has a very remote puncher's chance against DM. I was about to say, I know DM wasn't a great and all, but Callum Smith???? . Glad my sanity is restored.
