I like the Brown Bomber via mid rounds KO. It’s a different matchup for him than Ali was, that much is clear.
Norton vs. one of the most accurate big punchers in history? I don't like his chances. Norton makes it interesting for a while but sooner or later Louis smashes him.
To be honest, i think Norton jaw is underrated. Sure he got destroyed by foreman, but a lot of top hw would. Beside that, he never got stopped in his prime, and he faced snd got hit.by.some decent punchers
Joe Louis went full ten rounds with 179 lbs Bob Pastor in a pretty even fight, and in the rematch won in the 11th. Conn also survived well with him Louis definitely was one of the ATG punchers of the division but I have wondered if there was a way to reduce his effectiveness. It is impossible to see Mike Tyson going full rounds with a light-heavy
Pastor and Conn ran like the wind. Well, Conn didn't, but he moved far more than Norton would. Furthermore, both Pastor and Conn had a few in common, they were smaller, faster guys, both used excellent movement, and both of them got knocked the fuck out. Norton have to pressure Louis, and his guard may have shut off straights, but it opened him up to left hooks. Louis has ten times the hook Ali and Holmes had if you put them together. He'd hurt Norton with a check hook then hit him with everything else on the way down.
Not only hooks, but Louis also had one of the best right uppercuts in history. Hell, maybe THE best right uppercut in history. Kenny was vulnerable to the right uppercut. Ask George and Shavers.
I'd also take Louis but it's worth noting Norton is as good or better than the majority of the competition Joe faced.
